charity bingo has been a yearly fundraising event since 2001. it is an effort, amongst friends & family, to raise awareness & funds for the welfare of children + women + community growth. during this time of thanksgiving, we would like to celebrate friendship + love, with family & friends, all the people whom we have crossed paths with & with those who feel isolated from the rest of the world. let it be, beyond the boundaries of nations, colour, socio-economic backgrounds, religion, age & gender.

a love for humanity project

hello, how are you?
is an activity for families, as prelude to this year’s charity bingo bongo, an annual awareness & fundraising event : for children + women + community projects in india, philippines, south africa & singapore. this activity invites children of all ages & their parents to write, draw, paint, sketch or doodle their impressions / thoughts on what it means to love. to care for a friend / to be kind to their neighbour / to respect those in different circumstances in life. how often do we say hello, how are you? and really mean it? the shared compilation of thoughts seeks to echo the voices of the young, as well as to remind us that showing affection could be as simple as giving a smile or saying, hello, how are you?

the original artwork & writings on canvas would be exclusively auctioned at charity bingo bongo. all funds raised would go towards the projects.

some of the boys whom we've met in jan & mar .04 are now in ernakulam (about 5hrs by train from trivandrum) attending school & boarding at don bosco, ernakulam. like many others who have walked similar paths, these boys are given the precious opportunity of education and vocational training, and a chance to lead a life that isn't filled with strife- a familiar setting of life on the streets. these boys are victims of circumstances, and without the help of adults who see that this is a problem & loving action of individuals, they will remain victims. in my next trip to trivandrum, i plan to visit the boys at ernakulam. if you'd like to join me or require more information, please drop me an email.
