After Clarke's set on the floor above, Groove Armada play, going straight for the jugular in a less subtle style than their counterparts below, pleasing the packed dancefloor and podium crowd with a more direct straight 4/4 set. Highlights include Andy Cato of the duo at one point dropping Van Helden's mix of 'Professional Widow' with snatches of their own 'Shaking that ass'. All skilfully done and providing many happy punters with an upfront assault of the senses.

Upstairs on the top deck, the 6 Foot stereo provides its usual quota of hit and mix luck, depending on what stage you enter the room during the night. Quite obviously, giving the public (each limited to 5 records) access to the decks will garner some decent results, (those showing off their talents finely honed in the comfort of their own 4 walls), but unfortunately it also gives the likes of DJ Pete a chance. Here, a man so talented he can mix country and western and MC over the top with such wonderful lines as "We're going to rock your World!". Hmmmm, yes. However, the room was packed and not all were heading for the exit on this prompting from him! Maybe the crowd realised that he would shortly be leaving the dj booth and a more likely improvement would take his place.

Entertaining nonetheless, but thankfully there is enough goodness elsewhere on Ross Clarkes fine Revolver night.
