Bodega Bay: When you venture out of the jetty headed towards the Whistle Bouy, you have some choices. Fish right here or head either north or south. One of the deciding factors is where the fish are. North of you is the College, Salmon Creek, Carmet, the Russian River, and Fort Ross.
Going north is referred to as going uphill as you are going into the waves. Tough going up but when the seas get rough its easier coming back down.
Behind you is Bodga Bay itself. Sometimes the fish school up around the Esteros. When the seas get rough this semi protected area is the only fishable water.
To the south you have the Jingle Bell Bouy, Dillon Beach,
Tomales Point, Bird Rock, Elephant Rock, the Key Holes, Ten Mile Beach, and the Towers. Going down to these areas is easy but its all uphill coming back.
