Purposes of the Journal
1. It is a forum for articles and commentary concerning civil liberties
and public interest law issues.
2. The forum is without strict structural guidelines, so the content
may be academic, legal or journalistic.
3. Provides an opportunity for skilled writers to contribute content
regardless of class rank, graduate student status or occupation.
The CL/PIL Journal is held to high professional standards. Similar to
other magazines and Law Reviews, plagiarism and libel will not be
tolerated. However, alternative points of view and open debate on any
relevant issues is encouraged. Professional writing and citation are a
must. All student articles will be stringently edited. This helps the
student write more effectively and professionally, and becomes an asset, a
valuable skill for the future.
