GOOD AND BAD THING OF USING FRAME IN DESIGNING WEBPAGES
Advantages of Frames
Static navigation can be visible all the time,
thus providing navigational convinience.
Example: course technology's website for the new textbook,electronic commerce.
Company logos, messages, or other information can be keep in one frame
that is constantly visible, if desired.

Disadvantages of Frame
Search engines may not be able to properly spider a frame site.
Bookmarking a framed page within a website generally wont work, and typically
only the main page of the website can be bookmarked.
For the same reason that the bookmarking a framed page within a website generally doesn't work right, the URL for the entire site appears only as the main page.
NOT all browser support frames
A frame and non-frame version of website recommended by the W3 consortium guidelines are generally needed, raising the cost of the website and the maintenence.
Often framed websites do NOT close properly when visitor go to another website.
Framed website can be problem for smaller browser windows or laptop
