Cloud Strife is the main main character of the game. He's a mercenary and was previously a member of SOLDIER. He soon joins up with AVALANCHE and gets caught in the struggle to save the world. His weapon of Choice is an enormaous sword. He comes off as kind of a cold person, who doesn't seems to care about anyone in the beggining. *ok now to the spoilers* Cloud isn't who he thinks he is. He was an experiment of a Shinra Sciencest, Hojo, and doesn't have many memories of his own. Most of what he is, is Zack, one of his friends who was killed. This is why Aeris seems to be so attached to him in the begginging (she dated zack, but soon wants to know the real cloud). Deep inside, he really does care about his friends and want to save the world from Sephroith. Why you ask? Maybe because he burned Cloud's home town, called Metor, and killed someone who could have been his Girlfriend! You can catch Cloud in the games Final Fantasy Tatics (a mini quest), Ehergiz, and Kingdom Hearts!(coming in fall)
