Julie Crochetiere
Julie was Born on July 10, 1980 in Montreal. She studied classical piano, ballet and jazz as a child. As a teen, she played trumpet in her high school orchestra. She took dance and competitive aerobics. While singing during a charity walk, Julie was noticed by musician Robert Cadieux who asked her to sing with his band. Her main goal was to be a great all-around artist, but she has a special love for live theatre. She performed at the Casino Of Montreal for four months. Then she was hired at Club Med Cancun as a singer/dancer for the Paradise Resort.
Sahara MacDonald
Sahara was born on June 19, 1977 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, before settling in Vancouver. Her Mother is an actress in musical theatre. She studied at Royal Winnipeg Ballet. At 19, when she got her first professional gig, as a singer with a jazz trio in a cafe, did that for eight months. Musician Chin, formerly of Bass is Base, asked her to sing backup vocals on his solo album. She is a big fan of Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight.
Mirella Dell'Aquila
Mirella was born on November 26, 1981 in Montreal. She sand the national anthem at Montreal's Molson Stadium for CFL games. in 1999, she recorded a demo CD in Los Angeles. She opened for an Italian performer Pupo and Quebec singer Mitsou. She sand in a band called Pink and Blue. She has had four years of classical vocal training.
Andrea Henry
Andrea was born on Dec. 14, 1978 in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents hail from Nature Island, Dominica in the Caribbean. She sang and danced in "It's Your Festival" in Gage Park, a music festival featuring the likes of Alannah Myles and Kim Mitchell. She was a backup singer for the band Jah Groove, a funk-soul band that has performed at the Beaches Jazz Festival. She has been influenced by Mary J. Blige, Lenny Kravitz, Sheryl Crowe, Madonna.
Maiko Watson
She was born in Georgetown, Guyana on April 29, 1981. Her family came to Canada before her first birthday, settling in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She began dance training with Royal Winnipeg Ballet at age four, danced ballet, jazz and tap until age 15. As a teen, she began writing own lyrics and performing original material. She preformed with hip hop dance group Mahogany. She sang on the television talk show Jenny Jones. She appeared in Winnipeg rap duo Moodruff's video. Her influences include Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Lauryn Hill, Angie Stone, Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder
