Basu, one of the upcoming female Sarod players of her generation
was born in 1975 in Calcutta, West Bengal and grew up in the
musical ambience. She has been performing regularly in various
music circles in Calcutta and other cities of India and has
been strongly appreciated and lauded by the masters and the
critics of Hindustani Classical music.
