That one cannot walk hand in hand?
The elusive trust that is divine,
Is the hearts surrender, a place in the mind.
As with the gulls flying above the currents,
We are the waves tossed amongst the torrents.
Shall we travel the constant circles bends,
Until we find the happiness in destiny's end?
Perhaps one day that will be,
For you and for me.
Where we, as a people can learn forgiveness in our hearts,
Perhaps that will be where the love can start.
Even though life may never turn out as we dream,
Giving is all we really have, it would seem.
Of each other and of love,
To spread each day the gifts from above.
Though we have been hurt and wish to hide our faces,
We must rise above life's minor disgraces.
Till one day as a people we can truly be,
Then we will find our hopes, our dreams, our destiny.
For me I will ride the wind and waves,
Until my destiny to I, I am bade.
Then no seeking or searching will need to be,
My heart already knows the place for me.
So let us grow and be kind,
Till we all find that place in our heart's and our minds.
Do not judge that you know of naught,
For in lifes traps we have all been caught.
Look deep inside yourself and see,
We can be the people we wish to be.

.....................MAGICAL LAND
By Kendra Girod
My thoughts and mind leave this earth to soar high,
My soul stretches upward above the sky.
To a land I know exists,
Far beyond the haze of consiousness.
To a land filled with love,
A place where dreams are made of.
Where unicorns walk and faries roam,
A time where I know, I have come home.
The glistening lakes and sparkling streams,
Nights filled with stars and perfect moonbeams.
With kings and queens, maidens and knights,
Living equal, with no war nor endless fights.
Where ways are simple yet so pure,
That only love and happiness is the price to endure.
Hills blazing with flowers and clover,
The children making merry laughter all over.
Tis here I can be one,
With my love under the warmth of the sun.
To see the sunsets and sunrises,
To welcome each day's little surprises.
Perhaps it would be the call of the dove,
Or seeing a shooting star above.
The glistening petals of a dew-dropped rose,
Feeling the wind touch our faces, as it gently blows.
To see the world come to life,
Each day with no hate nor strife.
Holding my love close to me,
Oh what a precious gift that will be.
This land and home, I know exists,
For it is at my minds fingertips.
I only have to think and dream,
Of what is real but not seen.
Perhaps that day may not come soon,
But it will in another lifetime's moon.
In my heart this dream will forever stay,
For I know it will come my way.
Then no longer will I need to soar,
Through that open magic lore's door.
For time and place will be a reality,
Home, with my love, is where I will be.

FROM THE DISTANT PAST
By Kendra Girod
See the woman walking down the road?
She looks neither this way nor that,
For her eyes are held by a vision of the past.
She remembers their voices so bright and gay,
Full of life and love in every way.
Deeply in she breathes, with a sigh,
As the fleeting smell of roses waft by.
Oh those times that they had shared,
Every action had said how much they cared.
She remembers how she adored the man by her side,
That smiled and laughed and became one with her inside.
They danced and loved under the shades of the trees,
Reveling in the soft poetry of the earths breeze.
Words, they made their own,
Given to each other in the beauty of song.
Walking under the moons everdescence light,
Their love gleamed so pure and bright.
But time had a mind of it's own,
Halting the precious tides that they had known.
Destiny came to take him away,
Until another future foretold day.
In her heart she forever carried him,
He was her soulmate, as it had always been.
She continued on, only time did she have to bide,
Knowing one day, she would again be by his side.
Until today, this fateful day,
Her body tired and her hair grayed.
The youth of her body spent , her back bowed,
See the woman walking down the road?
She looks neither this way nor that,
For her eyes are held by a vision of the distant past.
She reaches out and takes his hand,
Together they cross into their promised land.
Once again whole in spirit and in mind,
They live forever their love entwined.
