Pick up an issue one of these days, whether you play the guitar or not. If you like it, subscribe. It's well worth the money.

      There are so many books out on the music industry that I'm not even going to try to list them all. But, here are some of the best. I've read and looked at most of these during my search, and the others were either recomended to be by people in the industry, or they looked like they have a lot of info.   • This Business of Music - Recomended to me by someone at Capricorn Records. I, personally haven't looked at it yet, but it's supposed to answer questions on legal, financial, or economic aspects of the industry.
  • More About This Business of Music - A follow up to the book above.
  • For Musicians Only - The main book that I used in my I-Search. It's easy to understand, comprehensive, and informative. I definately recomend this one.
  • Making a Living in Your Local Music Market - A detailed book with information on the industry. Especially good if you're not looking for fame, but just a career.
  • Making a Living in Your Local Music Market - A more up to date version of the above book. Published in 1998.
  • 1999 Songwriter's Market - The ultimate reference if you're serious about a career in the industry. It lists (almost)everything!
  • Music, Money, and Success - The untold story of how the billion-dollar world of music really works.
