An economic Greatest Hits collection (for those who doesn't want the double albums Red and Blue - all of these songs are on those albums). There were different editions in the US and the UK; the Brazilian edition is the American, carrying all the American credits (Capitol, Maclen Music, ASCAP, BMI) on the back cover, and also the dates when the songs were recorded. All text on the cover is in English.
This album came in a regular sleeve with an insert (inner sleeve), the insert didn't have any text - only a drawing representing a collage of photos of The Beatles at several stages of their career.
Believed out of print, this album appeared recently on the
EMI-Music Brasil Online Catalog, but only on cassette and LP -
this also happens in the United States (The Beatles
must have not authorized a CD version but somehow allowed the old
formats). Since these formats
(mainly LP) became unusual in the today's market, it is very hard to
find (Actually, I've never seen a new copy of it, only used ones.)
Being produced today, it probably still uses the non-remastered masters
of the songs, being the last album to feature them.
The version of Hey Jude is edited, like on Ballads. (I don't know if it's the same edit though.)
