Note: Hey Jude was released before Let It Be.
All of these albums were issued in stereo vinyl LP and (after 1976) cassette.
As a rule, stereo mixes were used every time, unless they doesn't exist or
were unavailable - in this case, mock stereo versions were used. The exception
are the Rarities albums that use mono mixes for many songs.
The 1984 album The Beatles, a reissue of A Collection of Beatles' Oldies, was not released by EMI Odeon, but by Som Livre, an independent label specialized in compilations. It features a new gatefold cover with lyrics. This album was sold only for a short time.
The "late issues" were released in October 1975 and replaced the Brazilian albums issued in the 60's (Beatlemania, The Beatles Again, The Beatles (65) and the Brazilian Help!). These "late issues" have translated sleeve notes and only mention the date of the UK release, not the Brazilian release.
The "late issues", which completed the official collection of original Beatles albums, were this way in print until 1988, being then replaced by their remastered versions.
Most of the compilations were also produced and easily found along with the original albums until 1988. But when the CDs were released, EMI "banned" the Beatles' compilations worldwide and they were then discontinued. However, 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 resurfaced in 1993 on remastered CDs.
Rock And Roll Music, Live At The Hollywood Bowl, "Rarities" (UK) and Rarities (US) had worse luck: they were probably discontinued years before, since they weren't easily found in 1988 as the others.
