Josie's voice has been described as a purr and a growl reminiscent of Wanda Jackson and her looks compared to Marilyn Monroe but her sound is 100% original! Her influences include early Elvis and other Sun rockabilly performers, Rose Maddox, Janis Martin, and Charlene Arthur, hillbilly and western swing artists. She writes most all her songs and plays guitar too...If you're tired of the same sounding top forty pop piano soprano female vocalists and are looking for some raw, wild and free danceabilly music, you must check her out! From the hepped up "Honey Pie" that'll make your feet prance to the bluesy tear your heart out "One Way Love," her cd "Hot Rod Girl" captures the soulful energy she is known for in her live shows.
