K-Town, BuckTown, every town is our town.

US:

We play music that you might like. I like it. It's not classical, and it's not R&B, but it is some sorta music.

"I find everything about you humorous" -Derek from Catasauqua, PA.
"umm...us is good. I like Us, cuz it goes 'baom, baom, baom'" -Nat

US:

We're influenced by lotsa stuff, but I can't name anyone that we sound like. We sound like some sorta music that I happen to like. There's one thing for certain tho, it's idiot music. Idiot Music is really good music played by people like us, and people like 3 Can Sam. Yup, that's US. We play music.

New Stuff

We played the Kennett High School Afterprom Party, which was after the Kennett High prom, on April 23. We went on around 12:30, and again around 2:30, am. A good time was had by all, but Mark broke a string 3 songs into the second set. Since the bass tar is a little unique, the rest of the set was cancelled and we had to be content with gambling away "demon dollars" for the rest of the night. Full description of this, and other shows, on the past shows page

7 different mp3's are now available mp3.com. You may now purchase the full "Pet Your Pets" CD from mp3.com. Real Audio is still available at our own audio page.

Wanna be on the Us mailing list?

Well, e-mail Jonas to say 'put me on the mailing list, pal.' The mailing list is a hell of a deal, cuz we like to go out of our way to help out the people on it.

About Us

US Consists of Mark Chadwick and Jonas Oesterle, both from the amazing town of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, sometimes joined by guest players including the much fabled saxaphone girl. Hell, I don't know how to describe the music, Mark says it's crazy mixes of Primus and Local H. That's pretty close, but then you've also got a little Rage Against the Machine somewhere in there. Only we don't usually talk about political upheval. I mean, we advocate it and all, but it's not our focus. We prefer to talk about Camels, and Tea, and Blueberries. If you wanna hear it, go to the
audio page. Mark plays bass-tar (A 3-string hybrid of a bass and a guitar). His bass-tar has been described as "the stupidest-looking thing I've ever seen", and also been the subject of such compliments as "What the hell is THIS?" from local hero Ben Carter. Jonas plays drums. Zap, Bam, Boom, Crash, you know....drums. Us has all sortsa fun times playing all over the place, at people's houses, American Legion Halls, Planet Trog (hell yeah!) and Jonas's Attic.
Songs

US plays a number of their own songs, as well as a few covers. Here's some of their own songs, all originally written by US. Click on the USball for lyrics to the parcticular song:
Pickin' Blueberries on a Camel
Realtime 3-D
Sharkpig
No More Raves
Where's Florence?
27 Cups of Tea
Can of Beef

Here's some of the songs they cover:
MmmBop--by the Power Trio Hanson.
Smoke on the Water--by some ridiculous metal group not worth remembering
Skinny Sweaty Man in a Green Suit--by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Real Audio and mp3's are on our very own audio page

Info

Us is available for stuff that we can get to in the Dragon Wagon, our mobile of choice for hauling stuff. We can get to a lot of places, mostly anywhere that's within 3 hrs of Kennett Square, PA. Kennett Square's about an hour south of Philadelphia, so that should help. Places near us include West Chester, Wilmington, Newark, and Bucktown. Plus smaller towns that are near those towns. Call us up.

I'm tearing up the net with this scanner i got now, so here's a picture of Jonas rockin' out at the outdoor wedding party we played in July. Here's more of mostly Jonas, and some shots of Jonas:

I go to school!
I can drive, can you?
I'm poor
Once I was your age
Grades are important
