Okay, I admit it, I'm hooked. Strange but true: ER is the one show I make it a point not to miss. Yes, some of the best cast members have left, leaving behind a show that isn't what it once was. But even despite my distaste for the sight of blood, I find ER is one of the most well-written, exciting, and entertaining shows on television.

I mean, who didn't cry when Mark died? Or rejoice when Carol’s twins were born? Who isn’t eagarly anticipating the week when Abby and Carter finally get together? We can overlook the obsession with the shock paddles (and their miraculous success rate) and the fact that something explodes practically every episode. Even though ER might not be particularly realistic, it's an hour of great entertainment on Thursday nights.
