The Geri Halliwell Agenda: Volume 2: Issue 1: The sky's the limit
Geri and her new best friends loved singing together, even if they were not all that good at it. But their personalities had what it took to make a successful band.
The Spice Girls managers all thought the girls had a lot of potential - but Mel C was the only one who could really sing. But, after about 6 months hard work, the girls were all in tune, and singing from the roof tops.
They all sat down, ready to write their debut single, and they thought they'd make up a song called 'Wannabe', just for a laugh. They had a great time writing it, and it told a little bit about each one of them in it - at one point, they were all wannabes, and that was what made the song so fun. They were putting all of their experiences into it.
But after they'd sang it a few times, and re-arranged a few of the words, they realized that they had a piece of number one material - something that would take them to the top of the charts.
When the girls found out that they had actually achieved a number one within a few days of the release of their single, they were over joyed. Some cried, some screamed, but they were all very happy.
But maybe the girls success went to their heads. Their managers- the ones that had put the girls together - were fired by the band. It was time for a new start........ More to come later.
