It's only Rock-N-Roll and you love it!

The Beatles are the
Greatest Band of all Time

These
are my 50 favorite and I think the greatest albums of all time. I picked 100
albums then narrowed it down to these 50. it took me about a week to make this
list. but it was a lot of fun doing it. most of the albums
are from the era I grew-up in, the '70s. some are from the '60s and '80s. I'm
glad I grew-up in the '70s because
it was the best decade for Rock & Roll. check out the list and let me know
what you think. right on!
1
.The
Beatles:
Sgt. pepper's
lonely hearts club band.
I think the Beatles is the best rock-n-roll band of
all time. and this album is their best. there are 10 Beatle albums on my top 50 list.
I can here the
boo's right now about this pick, but it's my list.
2. Led
Zeppelin: IV
- Four Symbols - untitled.
This album is my second
favorite LZ album. Houses being my favorite. this album wasn't very popular when
it was released. it took a few singles to make it the groups biggest seller and
most popular one. of course my favorite tune on the LP is Stairway
To Heaven.
it's one of the greatest song ever writen.

3.
The
Beatles: Magical mystery tour.
My favorite Beatles song is Strawberry
Fields. there are others, but this one is great. this album has some of
the best Beatles songs. the Beatles is another band I really didn't like as a teen. it wasn't until the late
1980's that I started to dig them. that's an understatement!

4.
Led
Zeppelin: Houses of the Holy.
I had a big change of heart this week. I had the "Doors L.A Woman" here
but I moved it to the number 23 spot. you can see my top 50 when it's done. I can admit
that this is Led Zeppelin's second greatest album and it deserves this spot (on MY list). I had
it at the number 21 spot. but after listening to it for the first time in a year it blew
me away. I can't get it out of my head.

5.
Pink
Floyd: The Dark Side of The Moon.
I must have worn out a hundred stylus's
playing this album. "Money' is
my favorite. listening to this album on acid is a trip. Dark side of the moon is possibly
the best album ever recorded.

6.
Bob Dylan: Highway 61 revisited.
Bob Dylan's best album. some folks
disagree, but to each his own.
there is maybe one or two songs on this LP that I don't like. my favorite song is
"Like a rolling stone". this album is historic.

7.
Fleetwood Mac:
Rumours.
Fleetwood Mac is without a doubt one of
the most popular bands of all time.
and their greatest album is Rumours. its the groups
most popular one. most
albums have two or three really great songs, but ever song on this LP is great.
and the album cover gets 4 stars.

8.
The Rolling Stones: Exile on main street.
I Love this LP. it seams like the
Stones have been around since the dawn of man. I won't drive anywhere without my Stones
tapes. my favorite tunes are Shake your hips,
Rip this joint, Rocks off and Tumbling dice.

9.The Beach
Boys: Pet Sounds
I'm getting a lot a slack about this album.
"oh, the Beach Boys aren't Rock & Roll. they're nothing but that
surfing shit." is the talk. not this album. song for song this is one of
the finest recordings ever. every songs on this album is
great. Rock & Roll ISN'T heavy metal. this LP use to be at the 2
spot.

10.
U2:
The
Joshua Tree.
I thought I was in heaven the first
time I heard this album. I played it so much it caused trouble with my girlfriend.
she got over it, and I played it to my hearts content. U2 is a great band. this ones
a must.

11
.Jimi
Hendrix: Electric Ladyland
After I thought about It I decided to
put Electric Ladyland at #11instead of Axis. the pressure was to much. Hendrix fans were
killing me!. it's one of the first albums I had as a kid, but I had the original cover with
the nude chicks on the front. Hendrix had more control of went on this album
then he had with other albums. look at the results. it's a winner and a
half.

12.
The Who: Live at Leeds.
Another great live Album. there are
some great tunes on this album. like My Generation
and Magic Bus.
I was up in the air about putting this at the #12 spot. it was a toss up between this one,
and "The WHO". their first album. Live At Leeds won the coin toss.
I'm getting a lot of slack about
this pick. Who's Next is what they want here.
13.
Deep
Purple: Made in Japan.
This is
one of the best live albums of all time. Deep Purple was a happening band back
in the '70s. and if there was ever a band to kick big time ass in Japan, Deep
Purple was that band. the songs on this LP are truly great. from Smoke
On The Water to Lazy there
isn't to many great live albums like this. look at No. 28?

14
.Bruce
Springsteen: Darkness on the edge of town.
What can you say about the boss man.
he's great. this album is the boss mans best. I dig every song on this album. my favorites
are "Bandlands", "Candy's Room", and "The "Promised
Land". it's a killer LP!.
15.
The
Rolling Stones: "
Get yer, ya-ya's out!"
The tongue is still going strong after
30+ years. there are songs on this album that are electric! down right BAD. a couple of
songs that kicks ass are The Midnight Rambler, and Sympathy For The
Devil. Mick sure got his ya-ya's? out on this one.

16
.The
Beatles: The White Album.
With all of the albums the Beatles have
made, this is one of my favorites. I'm still amazed at the number of hits these guys have
made. there is no other band who has had as many hit songs as the Beatles. my favorites
are, Dear Prudence, Revolution 9, and Helter
Skelter.

17
.YES:
Close to the
edge.
This album is the groups
best. all of the songs are in order. YES has
some other good albums, but this one is great. I saw YES twice in concert and
"The Close To The Edge" tour and The Fragile tour. they're one of the
greatest groups in history. they rock!

18.
Jethro
Tull: Aqualung.
Here's
another one I can't leave home without. Aqualung, my friends!
my favorites are Mother Goose and Aqualung. I love listening
to Jethro Tull on the way to the mountains. one can't have a party without
Tull. it's just not American.

19.
The
Doors: The Doors.
I wonder
what Jim Morrison's music would sound like today if he hadn't died so
tragic? The Doors were one of America's greatest Rock groups from the
'60s.
of all their albums I think this ones the best. there are so many great tunes
on it.
including Break
On Through To The Other Side,
Light My Fire and The
End.

20.
Jimi Hendrix: Band of gypsy's.
This
is one of my favorite Hendrix albums. my favorite is Axis: Bold As Love. this album was
recorded live at the Fillmore East, in New York. my favorite is Who Knows. I'm
not sure why this song and the CD Live At The Fillmore East sound different? I don't know
if all of the songs are live or not.
