21.Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin (1969)
The album that launched my favorite rock group. their first was the begging of rock & roll as far as I am concerned. "Communication Breakdown" is one of the best songs on the album. along with "Dazed And Confused."

22.Crosby, Stills & Nash: 1st album (1969)
Every time I hear this album I think of Woodstock. I guess it's because of "Going To Country" and "Wooden Ships." two of the songs that were on the  Woodstock video. two great songs by the way. other cool songs are "Marrakesh Express" and "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes."

23.The Beatles: Revolver (1966)
REVOLVER! I love the name. oh how I love the Brits. they're the greatest rockers in the world. it's rare that one loves every song on an album. in my case I love every song on Revolver. I dig "The Taxman" "Tomorrow Never Knows" and Eleanor Rigby. Wama jamma bamma! I really dig this LP.

24.The Who: Who's Next (1971)
The Who was one of the greatest rock bands of all time. (cliché N0.44). oh how I love those British. they know how jam. and they do it big time. be British lad! Who's Next is and is and is and is pound it in your head friend, their best studio album. I am partial to their live work. that's why I love Live At Leeds so much.

25..Led Zeppelin: Physical Graffiti (1975)
Oh I love this album. every time I listen to it, it gets better and better and better. two of my 10 favorite Zeppelin songs are on this album. they are
"Ten Years Gone" (what a jam up tune). and "In The Light" man do I wish
Bonham was still alive.

26.Grand Funk Railroad: Closer To Home (1970)
Grand Funk is one of my favorite bands. I wish they would've stayed together. they're the best trio in history. and this album is their best. actually this and E Pluribus Funk" are their best LP's.

27.The Beatles: Let It Be (1970)
T
his top 50 list boast five of the Beatles albums. and they deserve it. they are the greatest rock band of all time. and some of their best songs are on this album. the best one is "The Long And Winding Road".

27.The Allman Brothers Band: Live At the Fillmore East (1971)
Good golly miss Molly! what a great live album. straight out of southern comfort. these dudes know how to jam. if you've never heard this album then get it. it's terrific. the bluesy blues in the blues? best songs include "Whipping Post", and "You Don't Love Me" (yes I know).

29.Led Zeppelin: II (1969)
This album was the first one I use to play at the party's I use to have back in the
'70s. Led Zeppelin was historic at my POT party's. those days are over but the
music plays on. and this album is just as great now as it was in the '70's. the
best tunes are "Whole Lotta Love" "What Is What And Should Never Be" and
"Ramble On".

30.Peter Frampton: Frampton Comes Alive.
I first heard this album on 8-track on the way to Los Angeles, at night smoking some bad ass weed back in 1976. this one is still great after all of these years. and the best songs are "Do You Feel Like We Do". and I love "Baby, I Love Your Way".

31.Fleetwood Mac: Rumours.
My second favorite Mac album. Fleetwood Mac is my third favorite rock band. I think the whole LP is great. my favorite songs are "World Turning"
"Over My Head" "Landslide' and 'Say You Love Me'. god do I wish they
were on tour.

32.The Doors: LA Woman (1971)
Jim Morrison was a crazy nut, but he could sing his heart out. I just read John Densmore's book and I think the doors could've been really great. not that they weren't great. but only if Morrison wasn't nuts. and of course if he hadn't passed away. this album is historic. in all proportions.

33.Lynyrd Skynyrd: One More For The Road (1976)
Another one of those great live albums. it's a shame those band members died. it seems that its always an airplane that kills great people. they sang one of the best songs in history. and that was "Free bird". all I can say is  long live Southern rock.

34.Elton John: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
My favorite, and I think John's best album. there are so many cool songs on
this LP. the best one is without a doubt is "Love Lies Bleeding". "Grey Seal" and "This Song Has No Title" are all happening. John was at his best in the
early '70s.

35.James Gang: Rides Again.
This is James Gangs best album. they were a short lived band but their music was some of the best in the early '70s. I think ever
y song on this album is great.
"Funk #49", "Woman", and "There I Go Again" are my favorites. the band broke-up in 1976 and Joe Walsh went on to play with The Eagles.

36.The Rolling Stones: Beggar's Banquet (1968)
There are the ones who say the Stones are the greatest Rock band of all time. they might be. but I think the Beatles are the greatest. if the Beatles are the greatest, then the Stones are definitely the second greatest. I think I'll do a poll.

37. R.E.M.: Automatic For The People (1992)
Another one of those rare bands from the '80's and '90's that I like. I guess it's the story behind the band getting together. U.S. born and all.
Southern breed they can't be all that bad. the best tunes on this one are "Man On The Moon" "Drive" and "Everybody Hurts" Athens now has two
superstars?

38.The Rolling Stones: Let it Bleed.
This is one of their finer albums. the tunes that get my heart racing in high gear
are "Midnight Rambler" "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "Gimme
Shelter". I had their live LP "Love You Live" at number 67. shit! I should have
all of their albums in my top 100.

39.Jimi Hendrix: Are You Experienced (1967)
Only if? only if Jimi Hendrix had lived I wonder what his music would sound like today. one only wonders. 'Are You Experienced' is his first album. and one of his best. the tile song is the best.

40.Santana: Caravanserai (1972)
I think the album Abraxas is more popular than this one, but there are
two songs (instrumentals) on Caravanserai that gets it the number 38
spot. the best is "Song Of The Wind". man is it great. and you can't argue
about Santana being one of the greatest guitarist too.
