69bsd gangsta non-sense ska punk

Mid to Late 1980’s influential rockers the zit remedy brake up after bassist wheels was almost molested and then later on in his teen years arrested and convict of drunk driving which resulted in the injury of passengers in both vehicles and the death of an infant.

Soon after a void was felt.

Then in 1999 sixty-nine cent burrito Sunday was formed after several years of dreaming by the 3 young thugs–most likely ’93- and the struggle began-69cent being a metaphor for change. The band started out extremely slow, with the delightful presence of Doug’s German exchange student, whom watched us each day and at times seemed to be in enjoyment and other times discussed. We hooked up with Daryl Johnson -at that time of DBD fame (later fame 401,assogore)- and he got us our first show and allowed us to use his practice room so we could practice and write more songs for the show. It was at this time we record our first demo-the crappy demo tape-. We only released one copy for sixty-nine cents to Naked Nolan (bag). (tape will be re-issued w/other unreleased tape recordings. The title in working is “ Slimier then the Mucus that is Bling, Bling’s Desecration: The Rarities” skankcity records)
Show time was upon us, unfortunately show goers had mistakenly took or name as a promotion that burritos would be sold at the show for 69cents.We were under dogz from the get go even though we were sporting our shut up bitch t-shirts. Our set went of without a hitch or so we like to think. However, the experience was tainted for Dave. He was mistaken for another man; which resulted in his being assaulted in a beat down by some of the local skinheads and their friends. Dave was even accosted with death threats by Billy Hall (now long time friend). Dave was all right because he is Dave Quinn (bitch!…enjoy yourself) and ain’t no foolio’s gonna keep him down . Troubled followed us 3 thugz -from the ghetto south of Sarnia- for a few more shows. Anywhere we played shit happened.
Years past from that first show and like the bassist of the zits Dave Alan was arrested. After his release we recorded the white love e.p. and the mo mocha mo power e.p. later released as the double e.p. “Bring Your Money to a Black Man” skankcity records.
Legendary 267 Cobden ST. venue was in full effect (started by the gore) and 69 headlined many a time having been the ones put on the shows most of the time and it was awesome it was a kicking place to play especially in its final days because it was completely packed to the bone. Then we ran it into the ground from which it had been birthed. Then we released the double e.p. and recorded a split w/ c.v.m “WWIII”. The band plays on with the direction of Sgt. Pepper and one day will be better then his hearts club band. The Zits would be proud. Degrassi for life.
All music has been written by 69bsd. All lyrics have been written by a scumbag and a Queen, which mostly pertain to subjects of non-sense or incoherence. Lyrics tend to at times steam from that of a “political or social nature” in reference to the realization of shit that is happening, even if it’s not directly directed towards you. Assumed authority, property, poverty, and the struggle. All cause and effect of the modern “civilized” societies and “civilized” societies of history past.
p.s. hip hop is a major influence in the lyrically writings.
