BIO
The guys in this band were extremely clever, with awesome sense of humour. Also, if you want to attribute credit to anyone for the whole CHEMICAL VALLEY HARDCORE thing, these are the guys to attribute it to.
I remember them making t-shirts, using pizza boxes to make stencils, with the CVHC accompanying the "X". They also made stickers that said: "PEN15: JUST BEAT IT" - fucking hilarious.
I don't know really how to describe them musically, aside from saying it was hardcore punk rock, but not necessarily to be lumped in a genre. At the time of PEN15, I'd like to think we had a nice little community of bands where we were into each other's stuff just because.
One time, I remember being involved with running a show at "The Club Underground." PEN15 played and during their set, they dispersed several 3 litre bottles of FAYGO "pap" on the audience, as well as the sound equipment unfortunately. It sucked trying to explain that!
They played in Toronto with SRB and some well-known Toronto locals. I'm not sure if they ever recorded anything and I believe they broke up sometime in 1998.
