BIO
I met these guys at the skatepark on Maxwell St when I was fifteen or so. Their group of friends was sometimes referred to as "the Sherwood skaters" by my own group. Mike Beauchamp always destroyed while riding a board. The first time I saw him ride I asked him how long he'd been skating for. He said something like a week or a month or something and I remember being shocked - in retrospect, he could have been kidding. Either way, he was always busting crazy shit. The other guys were quite accomplished skaters as well, but because of the style of Mike I remember him better.
I honestly can't remember seeing them play for the first time, but I always remember them as sort of walking their own path. Playing melodic punk rock is nothing new, but their fusion of grungy elements and other styles of music, as well as a sincerity and genuine friendliness was right on.
I was surprised to see that they were still playing when I was back here a couple of Summers ago. Their website can be viewed from the link above. Alot of the specifics of this was taken from their site.
