- High point of my career thus far: "That's a tough one, but what instantly comes to mind is the night I nailed the greatest bass solo I ever did live in front of a room full of other musicians. I also love those magickal moments when everything just comes together effortlessly, when all the minds in the band are on one wavelength; unfortunately that doesn't happen as often as I would like it to." |
- Low point of my career thus far: "Actually this is what led up to my retirement in '92, the business side of things began to overshadow the creative aspects. Music ceased to be an outlet for my emotions and that is when I made the decision to put the basses away." |
- Musical Education: School of hard knocks and alot of time in the woodshed. |
- Best concert I have ever attended: "The first time I saw Lycia live, on the 'Burning Circle' tour in Columbus, Ohio. It was amazing, the entire audience was in a trance. I have never experienced anything like that before or since. A close second would have to be seeing Stu Hamm with Joe Satriani in 1997 and Vai live in 1992." |
- Ultimate Gig: "Another tough one, but I would love to work with a number of musicians, all of whom are beyond my level of talent it's embarassing; Stu Hamm, Lycia, Steve Vai, November 17, Peter Steele...I could go on forever." |
- Ultimate Musical Goals: "I don't expect much anymore, so I have to be content with just being the best musician I can be and using that talent with a team of talented musicians. Beyond that everything else is icing on the cake." |
- What's currently in my CD player: "I've been shuffling between four CDs alot recently, 'Product of a Two-Faced World" by Drown, 'Singles" by The Smiths, 'Herzleid' by Rammstein and David Bowie's 'Earthling'." |
- Non-musical Pursuits: Of course I have my career as an artist; I also dabble in the writing biz and build websites. When I have spare time I enjoy researching World War II aviation, autograph collecting (I have over 200), chatting on Internet Relay Chat, reading, traditional target archery and erotica. |
