U2 live is a force to be reckoned with! But each of us has a particular song we can't get enough of live... and these fans are sharing the reasons why!

Favourite U2 Song Live: Sunday Bloody Sunday sung by Edge in Sarajevo
(23.09.1997)
Why?: Because it made me cry! And I'm not a wimp, I cry very seldom, usually
when something touches me deeply. I've heard this concert on the radio, I
didn't know the setlist, and the place where it was sung, the way it was
sung, all made perfect sense. In fact I've realised it was Edge only after
listening to the tape I made.

Favourite U2 Song Live: Mysterious Ways from Zoo TV Dublin (i think....Zoo Tv
anyway)
Why?: *is there a word limit?? lol* Oooooooooohhhhhh well there are MANY great
live U2 songs, and all for different reasons. This stands out as my fav because
of the little intro speech (if it can be called that lol) that Bono does while
he's just "feeling" the music. [scat singing] "Show me how to do it! Teach me
how to dance! Show meeeeeee! Shooooowwwwww meeeeeee!!!!! Alright! Alright! She
moves in mysterious ways!" Its like so funky *thankyou Edge and Adam* and so
damn sexy and at the same time Im always thinking 'someone should teach that boy
to dance'.lol. I also really like Bonos falsetto, for some reason. Theres also
that really cool bit during the "bellydancer" part where bono says "touch me
babe, I feel Im comming *either* now *or* round. Move my spirit, hold me, move
my spirit, take me, move my spirit, heal me, move my spirit, teach me." That
version of Mysterious ways ROCKS! Always gets my hips movin).

Favourite U2 Song Live: MOFO & Where the Streets Have No Name
Why?:
MOFO:
I just go crazy over when the music stops and Bono whispers "Looking for to save
my, save my soul." Then he kicks into it with some fancy moves and great
singing.
Where The Streets ...:
It's the one song that says "Hey, sure we have t.v.'s and lemons all over, but
we're still the same honest, powerful band we always were." That, and it makes
me feel like I'm flying :)

Favourite U2 Song Live: Where The Streets Have No Name
Why?:
I get the shivers just thinking about it...
This song is so incredibly powerful live, whether it opened up the show for the JT tour, or following Running To Stand Still during the Zoo tours, or following Please in the POP Mart tour. I still can't decide which is my favorite. But the mood shift from each (from the anticipation to the start of the show in the JT tour) is just perfect.
When I saw them at Yankee Stadium in '92, I thought then that the stadium was going to collapse during Streets! It took another 6 years for that to really happen (-:

Favourite U2 Song Live: Can't help falling in love with you
Why?:
It is so hard to pick a favorite. When I see U2 live, the whole set grabs me and keeps me captive in a U2 zone, until I get back to my car after the show. It's like an out-of-body expierince almost!
I'd have to say that my favorite is from a show I didn't get to see live.... I can't help falling in love with you, from the Sidney Zoo Tv video. I love the way Bono sings that song! I want to cry everytime I see it. I know I'm a nut, but nobody can sing like Bono!

Favourite U2 Song Live: Bad
Why?: Bad is my favorite Live song because of the passion that Bono brings into
it. During the JT tour he talked about how the song was about a friend of his
who died of a heroine overdose at 21. I have a tape of that very show and,
everytime I hear him talk about it, I just want to cry. Hearing that song is
like a religious experience for me. Also, I just wanted to melt everytime he
brought a girl up on stage because I'd wish it was me. Oh well, someday it will
be. Bono just sings that song with soooooo! muuuuuuch! energy!

Favourite U2 Song Live: Sunday Bloody Sunday and Bad (both from the Rattle and
Hum video)
Why?: "Bad" and "SBS" are such emotional songs already that when
they are performed live, they take my breath away!
When Bono slips lines from Ruby Tuesday and Sympathy For
the Devil in "Bad", it's awesome. And the speech he gives
before "Sunday Bloody Sunday" made me cry and still makes
me tear up every time I watch it.
Songs like that are so emotionally touching. Bono is the
only one who could throw so much emotion and feeling
into any song and make you feel it forever!

Favourite U2 Song Live:
Why?: 'Until the End of the World' is probably my favourite live track,
especially the ending of it which, I suppose, really does sound and look
like the End of the World. Pity the 1994 video failed to capture this,
but the ZooTV programme from 1992 did- and 'Mysterious Ways' is
brilliant live. I think the best song live at PopMart was 'Hold Me,
Thrill Me...' which wasa brilliantly carried off, I remember The Edge
saying he wondered HOW THE HELL are they gonna do that one live! I've
never seen a decent version of 'One' live, which is a shame, Bono forgot
the words, for example, in 1997! & that has to be my favourite U2 song
cos it was the first single I ever bought by them.. I'm sure there's
lots of people on line who've loved them since 1976, or whatever! But I
was a bit young for the 80s stuff, although, ofcourse, I have it all
now. But 'Achtung Baby' is my favourite U2 album by far- perhaps my
favourite album by anyone.

Favourite U2 Song Live: Bad and Please
Why?: I love Bad from Rattle and Hum. I love the end where Bono starts singing
"Good bye Ruby Tuesday....". There is something about that that I just love. I
also love Please live. Its my all time favorite song and it just moves me
listening to it. And thats what music is supposed to do.

Favourite U2 Song Live: Gone
Why?: I got to go to two popmarts last year, and loved everything I heard-- but "Gone"
just really gets to me-- its' the music, the lyrics, and the way Bono just puts
his whole soul into singing this song.
The lyrics are so personal and so powerful-- it's like Bono is really baring his
soul here-- I mean, that whole thing about "you hurt yourself, you hurt your
lover, but then you discover-- what you thought was freedom is just greed."
That's some heavy stuff- and you know that has to be coming from his experience
somewhere.
But what tips the scales for me is the one moment where he sings " And I'm
already gone, felt that way all along," and brings the last two words up into
his earth-shatteringly beautiful falsetto voice. I mean, if you've heard
Sarajevo or Mexico City, I am sure you
have noticed how that part just hits you-- not only what he is saying, but the
absolutely overwhelming beauty of his voice on the last two words of that
phrase. I love to put on the Mexico City concert and really listen to that
song, and that one moment never fails
to give me goosebumps. Sing on, Bono-- cannot wait until the next album, and
especially the next tour!
