Favourite U2 Moment: Bono's speech as MacPhisto in 'ZooTV - Sidney'
Why?: Because it shows what I've guessed all along - that Bono is more than a great singer/poet/composer, he's a great person who makes his mark in this world and tries to change it AND he's a great actor as well (hints of Olivier, Nicholson, maybe Liam Neeson)!

Hi, I've got 2 Fave live U2 moments:

1. In the Live from Mexico Popmart, I love "EVEN BETTER THAN THE REAL THING", because if you watch closely ,EDGE moves those hips of his a lot and just reduces me to a pile of mush!!! He's not a "HERE I AM, GIRLS" kind of guy, he's so sexy because he doesn't try to be sexy. But shaking those hips in "EVEN BETTER..." is SOOOOOO sexy.

2. I saw Popmart 3 times. The last one was in Seattle,12/12/97. Just before walking off stage the second to the last time, Bono reaches back and grabs Edge's butt, and Edge jumped, naturally. It was so funny, the looks on both their faces.

They are both so cute, it should be illegal. What can I say, I just love em'. Thanks for letting me gush about them.

Favourite U2 Moment: When Edge thumps Larry for imitating Adam's hand guestures in "Rattle and Hum" (thats like one of many fav moments)
Why?: It cracks me up every time! I can watch that 30 second section of R&H like 50 times in a row and not get bored wiht it. They are suc an adoreable group of guys ).

Favourite U2 Moment: When U2 came to Brazil!!!
Why?: Simple because it was amazing!!! Having U2 here... And they were sooo well receptioned, BTW!!! And there was that *person* asking what would be the surprise of the concert to Larry and he just answered "We're gonna show up"!!! It was sucha amazingly dream-come-trueish thing!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! Come back soon guys!!!! I still want my sister's head because she saw U2 in the beach in Rio (early morning, really, 6:00 am!!!) and thought they were just normal tourists!!!!

Why?: Zoo TV tour, Bono stage dives off the B-stage and I was there! Body surfing Bono was the best. He even made eye contact with me! Talk about melting a heart!

It might be ZooTV Bad/BTBS transition, or the moment when Bono occasianally shouts don't let it ever happen again and the crosses on the tv screen turn to nazi crosses..

AND

The time when I was sick and listened nothing but UTEOTW the whole day!! I had just got AB and I loved the song!!

AND

Listening and partying to New Year's Day when the year changed and blowing up firecrackers at the balcony at a friends house (with lots of friends)!!

AND

Getting a new U2 tape via trade

AND

The filming of WTSHNN in public place on a rooftop - rock 'n roll stops the traffic - This must be the first thing I heard about U2. I was very impressed and loved the music, but still din't had any records..

FICTIONAL: Hearing WTSHNN in a disco where EVERYBODY love U2!!!

Favourite U2 Moment: Bono in a sling in New Haven CT on the JOSH tour
Why?: This was my fifth show on what has to be the best Tour I have ever seen. I love the big shows (Pop and ZOO) But on this tour they still played obscure songs and were righteous. Bono had hurt his shoulder during the previous show so he couldn't move around like he usually does. When they came to Running to Stand Still he ripped in to it like I have never seen a singer do before or since. I swear he made himself cry. The whole crowd was moved I can still hear it " I'm Still Runnin, Still Runnin" I'm getting chills just writing this. I hope they tone down the next Tour.

Favourite U2 Moment: When I met Bono and When they sang New Year's Day on Nov 18, 1987
Why?:

I couldn't resist telling you two of my fave moments because it's hard to decide which is better (although meeting Bono is slightly better!). Before the Zoo Tv concert on Oct 31, 1992 I met Bono at their hotel. My heart pounded so much at the thought that I could finally meet my man!! He was so nice to us and I just thought it was so cute how he regretted the fact that he couldn't stay long (got to get to the show you know!). He signed autographs for everyone and he signed the back of my U2 T-shirt. I wondered what he wrote no one else could figure it out because it was dark and Bono really doesn't have the best handwriting. After the concert, I took it off to read the back. Bono wrote "Bono on your back!!". I just thought that was so cool!

My second fave moment was during the JT tour on Nov 18, 1998. During New Years day this girl in the front brought Bono some balloons up to the stage. The security guard tried to push this girl away from the stage. Bono saw this and motioned for him to let the girl come on stage to give him the balloons. He pulled her up on stage and gave her the biggest hug ever! The crowd went wild!! It was such an emotional experience. He then took the balloons she gave him and let them go up up and away! He then said "let it fly!!". It was so uplifting and Im sure that girl will never ever forget that moment either.

Favourite U2 Moment: PopMart-Foxboro,MASS.
Why?: At the end of the show it began to rain during With or Without You. Bono finished the song with the version from Rattle & Hum ("we'll shine like stars in the summer nite..."). With the rain and the song it was an incredibly moving moment. Then, after the show Bono remained to sing a Beatles cover "Rain" which the rest of the boys eventually joined. I think everyone in the stadium had chills!

Why?: The moment he walks on to the stage as Macphisto, he completely changes his "act" and the expression he has on his face during Lemon ...that just says it all.

Favourite U2 Moment: Rock N' Roll Doggie
Why?: I love the short little peice on the Achung Baby video when Bono is being interviewed and he hears a voice scream out: "BONO!!" Amazed that the guy shouted out his name so loudly and how he could be heard 40 floors up prompted Bono to scream out "Rock n' roll doggie" (ofcourse, I mean, what else would you say ?!?) before he calls it "the loudest voice I have ever heard." I laugh every time I see that.

Why?: 'Until The End of the World' & i get so caught up in the thing I take me top off and start swinging it round me head causing a strobe light behind me to flicker a bit! Tried repeating this at PopMart, unfortunately it was raining this time round. 'Until the End of the World' is probably my favourite live track, especially the ending of it which, I suppose, really does sound and look like the End of the World. Pity the 1994 video failed to capture this, but the ZooTV programme from 1992 did- and 'Mysterious Ways' is brilliant live.

Favourite U2 Moment: Last Night on Earth in Sarajevo
Why?: Thre were alot of mements that I will long remember in that show that I heard for the first time on my way to my first u2 concert as a fan....but LNOE was one of the best. Bono sang the song like a man possessed and the added lyrics in it "Last night I dreamed of Sarajevo and now I see Sarajevo..Oh Lord help me sin, god give me a voice to pray..how I felt last night and how I feel when I see Sarajevo" just really through me into orbit......very cool indeed!

Favourite U2 Moment: During the Popmart concert in Jo' Burg South Africa
Why?: One of the most amazing parts of this concert (among many!!) was i think during "All I want is You". I was right at the back of the stadium,in the stands, and at one point in the song i was one of the only people standing. All i could see was this huge screen and a tiny Bono looking up at the stadium. I know this is mad, but i felt like he was singing to me!!! Alll i could feel was the total power of their music!! It was amazing!!
