A musical group whose inspirations include: a great deal of West African and Carribean music! Whose status as a "new-wave" dance group seems to be in contradiction to their level of intelligence! I consider Talking Heads to be the east-coast version of American "art-rock" (due to their association with Brian Eno)! David Byrne added some very interesting lyrics to the mix! Tina Weymouth, Chris Franz, David Byrne and Jerry Harrison created some very fascinating music!
