From Atlantic:*DUNCAN SHEIK HUMS SOME NEW TUNES FOR THE THEATRE*
Duncan Sheik took time out recently between touring, promoting his new album "HUMMING," and looking pretty for Details Magazine, to record some new music for the Steven Sater play "Umbrage." The play, about the friendship between an aging immigrant factory worker and a struggling musician, opened this Thursday, February 11th, at HERE, on Sixth Avenue and Dominick Street in New York City.
Duncan is listed in USA Today's top 10 CD's of 1998. Check out the short blurb here.
Hey, everyone, be sure to keep an eye on Atlantic Records. They've got all the latest news on Duncan and his various performances. I'll put up more reviews, etc. right here as soon as I find them. Keep checking back.

Well, the biggest thing right now for Duncan is... touring!!! Finally!! Yes, I know. In case you haven't checked it out, everything that I have on his tour is right here .
Now, everyone knows that Duncan's working on a new album. All the info on that is here.Duncan also has a song on a CD called Red Hot Rhapsody. I haven't heard much on this, but when I do, I'll be sure to update you all.
Duncan has recorded "Songbird", an old Fleetwood Mac song that will be on the new CD called "Rumours Revisited".
Hopefully by this time, all of you know that Duncan has released a single that is part of the "Great Expectations" soundtrack called "Wishful Thinking". It's one of the lead singles on the soundtrack. If you haven't heard it yet, you've got to. .it's just fantastic. Go here to check it out. The version you can get online and listen to through Realplayer is better (at least, that's my opinion) than the radio edit version that they put on the single. "In the Absence of Sun" is on the B-side. . .it's the album version. .don't get your hopes up. But hey, I don't think any of us really mind all that much. There's a great pic of Duncan on the back.
Well, I think just about everyone was disappointed with the whole ABC's "In Concert" fiasco. Poor Duncan only got to perform one song. *sigh* When will he start getting the air time he deserves????Well, Duncan didn't win the Grammy, which we're all rather disappointed about, but I know there will be many more nominations for him in the future. We're all behind you Duncan! From what I've heard, he wore a white linen suit to the Grammy's. . .and listen to this: he took his mother. Isn't that so sweet of him? What a gentleman.
The "Reasons for Living" Maxi CD, has some really funky dance-oriented remixes. If you like the dancy music, go for it. It's taken over my CD player so far. I love it and would definitely recommend it.
The Great Expectations contest is now over, so for all of you who have entered, keep your eye on the SITE and watch for the announcement of the winners!!!
Duncan has been nominated for a Grammy award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for Barely Breathing!!! Congratulations, Duncan!!!
