AUDION

Audion is a UK magazine dedicated to the various underground genres of progressive,
psychedelic, space/synth electronic music, musique concrete, Krautrock, etc.
Based out of the Ultima Thule shop in Leicester, England and run by the Freeman brothers
(Alan & Steven) for the past 10 years now, they publish in-depth retrospective features on
many of the most important artists in these genres (usually w/discography), plenty of detailed
and idiosyncratic reviews and a lot up-to-the-minute news on recent developments.
It's probably fair to say that no reasonable human on the planet could agree with everything the
Freeman's spout off about (it takes a bit to figure our their "take" on things), but there's no
doubt that they are well-versed & authoritative in the music they treat so seriously, and the
mag is essential to anyone interested in the various scopes outlined above. #37' cover
feature is on Chris Karrer (Amon Duul II/Embryo); plus features on Brainticket,
Moving Gelatine Plates, usual reviews, definition of a "bongload" cleared up, etc.

EXPOSÉ  http://www.oocities.org/hollywood/1831/expo-sub.html

Peter Thelen (E-Music writer)

Our primary focus is the music that the mainstream ignores; music whose
roots seem to have originated somewhere just outside the pop/rock
mainstream, but has progressed onwards toward the boundaries of rock,
where it meets jazz, classical, folk, avant-garde, electronic and
experimental, going well beyond the standard forms into areas of stark
and stunning originality. With Exposé, the focus is on the exploration.
Some of the artists we have featured and reviewed: Anglagard, Ozric
Tentacles, Tony Spada, Ezra Winston, U Totem, King Crimson, Pulsar, SFF,
Ange, Minimum Vital, Mastermind, Klaus Schulze, Terraced Garden, Virgil
Moorefield, Discipline, Anekdoten and many others.  One year (4 Issues)
is $20 U.S., $22 Canada/Mexico, $30 Europe/S.America, $32
Australia/E.Asia.  Payment in U.S.Dollars, by check drawn on U.S.bank,
International Money Order, or Cash in a Registered Letter.  Over 80
pages, 8½ x 11.

increase which will make it literally 'the' reference guide for
electronica, experimentalia and avantia...  we now except visa/master
