The key to listening to RA or .wav files is to be patient while the file downloads.

When using Netscape you may see a little gray box with the Netscape "N" in it while a .wav download occurs, for a RA file you should see a "Viewing Location" window.
Using a 28.8 modem, the RA files should take approximately 1-2 minutes each to download, whereas the .wav files may take 3-10 minutes.
The .wav files will sound many times sharper.
If you have difficulty with RA, remember you should have a version at least as new as the file, in Plain James, that is Version 5.

All Plain James RealAudio files here are in 16 bit stereo sampled at 44 khz, the running time and download file size are listed.

You can "replay recent" downloaded RA clips! From the RealPlayer window click "file" then "Open Recent" Click here to find out how to change the number of files.
