I know that I have Spirit Guides. The basis for my belief doesn't come from books or from hearing it somewhere. I began to believe this because of some experiences I have had.
One day when I was a kid I was playing on the fire escape of our apartment. I decided I wanted to climb up to the roof. On the way up, near the top my hands slipped off the steps and I began to fall back. Then all of a sudden I was back up with my hands back on the step, it felt as if hands had pushed me back. I knew someone or something had saved me. I even felt a presence as I climbed back down, it disappeared as soon as I was down. I was a little frightened but I knew it had to be my "Guardian Angel".
Whenever very bad things have happened in my life I dreamt it before it happened. I believe this was my Guides preparing me.
A few months before my mother-in-law passed on I dreamt that she had a severe problem with her stomach. I told her about this afterwards and she admitted that she had been having some pains in her stomach. She said she was too busy preparing to move to go to the doctors now and that she would go after they moved. Right after moving into the new house her pains became severe, she went to a couple of different doctors but they misdiagnosed it and gave her medicine. She wound up in the hospital 2 weeks after the move and they found out she had an abscess in her colon and that she'd had it for months. By this time it was too late to save her, all of her organs had been poisoned. She passed on 3 weeks after entering the hospital. One of the last things she said to me was, I should have listened to you and went to the doctors when you told me to.
Another time I believe my Guides helped me was when I was pregnant for the second time. I never felt right about the pregnancy from the beginning. I never felt the attachment that I had for my first child from the moment I found out I was pregnant. I always felt that something wasn't right about this one. Then I dreamt that the baby was born really deformed. About 2 weeks later I went to the OB/GYN and they did an ultrasound. They said that the fetus was dead and from the size of it had died about 2 weeks earlier. I was very upset but not shocked because my Guides had prepared me for it.
I had a dream one night that my Grandmother died. The next day I got the phone call that she died that day.
The next thing that furthered my belief is that after my Grandmother passed on, I began to dream of her all the time. I knew it was her coming to me through my dream state. That was confirmed when I went to a Psychic and she told me my Grandmother was with me, she could actually see her standing next to me, she described her to me. (I didn't say a word about my Grandmother she just said it). Then a year after she passed on I stopped dreaming of her. I've had a couple of quick dreams with her in them but they aren't the same, I know they are just dreams. I believe she has now gone on to her next life.
I began to read books about contacting the Spirit world afew years ago. I am going to study and learn as much about it as I can and then begin to Meditate and do exercises to strengthen my Aura.
I hope to get deep into myself and find an ability that I've only so far experienced through dreams and the contact I've had with my Grandmother through dreams.
