"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." 2 Corinthians 4:7

Welcome to my little tribute to Jars of Clay; a platinum-selling Christian rock group that helps spread the message of Christ through some of the best music you've ever heard. This is the only band that I've ever listened to and loved EVERY single one of their songs. If you have any news, comments, questions, or problems with this page, contact me here.

January News:

  • Taken from MyLaunch.com:
BR5-49, John Hiatt, & Jars Of Clay Head To Sundance
(1/20/99, 1 a.m. PST) - Don't be surprised if the next hip independent feature film comes accompanied by an equally hip soundtrack featuring some hot Nashville names. That's because a large contingent of Nashville musicians is headed to Park City, Utah, for the ultra-hip Sundance Film Festival this weekend. The artists are taking part in the film fest's music showcase, called Sundance Festival Music Studio. Country acts BR5-49 and the Warren Brothers, and Nashville-based rockers John Hiatt and Jars Of Clay are among the artists that are booked to participate in the film festival's live music showcase, Jan. 22-26. Starbucks and VH1 sponsor the acoustic event, which also includes the release of a CD. The purpose of the event, according to one label executive, is to introduce the music of these artists to independent filmmakers, in the hopes of getting their music placed in feature films. It's hoped some film industry movers and shakers will take a break from their schmoozing to check out some of the music. But don't pack your bags: the showcase is invitation only.

  • December News:

I'm a little late with the updates this month, but here it is FINALLY...

  • Listen to a 30 second clip of Jars (Dan actually) talking about being involved on the POE soundtrack on Entertainment Tonight Online

  • Since it's the Christmas season and all, I added a new crazy caption that has to do with my favorite holiday :-) Look at it here

  • I was flipping through the November 20 issue of Entertainment Weekly the other day, and came upon a review of the three "Prince of Egypt" soundtracks...the reviewer says in one paragraph about the Inspirational cd, "Among the minority Caucasian camp, Jars of Clay, doing their best Michael Penn impression, are odd Quarrymen out." Uhh...I'm still trying to figure out exactly what that means...

  • You can hear a clip from the song "Everything In Between" at the official site.
