Endangered species and what's being done to save them.
Here's a site designed to inform kids and adults too about endangered species and what's being done to save them.
You can find information on specific endangered species, from the black lemur, whose numbers are down to 10,000 or so, to tigers, of which a mere five distinct species remain. Or visit the Classroom section for a brief history of extinction, the Zoos and Aquariums finder to locate the zoos and aquariums in your state, Camp 41 to learn how rainforests affect each and every one of us, and more. There's even a section under construction that will let you watch NetShow movies about particular endangered species and then make online donations to organizations that are working to protect them. This site does indeed make caring about as cool as it can get.

Here we have a trio of sites devoted to female iconoclasts.
The first is Heterodox Heroines, A one-page collection of biographies of little-known, less-discussed but very influential women in history, from Antonina of Byzantium (a prostitute turned military commander) to Yim Wing Chum (the unjustly unaccredited developer of the martial art later made popular by Bruce Lee).

Next, try the Camille Paglia Home Page where you can read what "America's foremost female intellectual" has to say about Tina Brown, Alfred Hitchcock, Judy Garland, and others.

Finish up at the online version of the New York Times magazine special issue, Women as Icons where you can not only read about scores of women who distinguished themselves but also debate the iconic stature of each.

Are there really flying saucers? What killed the dinosaurs? Is there something ancient and alive in Loch Ness? The Museum of Unnatural Mystery takes a scientific look at these, and other, questions.

I want to thank you for visiting my web site.
Well, that's all for now and we bid you goodnight.

Goodnight Jerry
