No, it's not my real counter :-(

So tell me, how do you like your chicken?

Well as you have already figured it out, this page has some stuff that I think is funny. I subscribe to several amusing listservs and regularly check out some of the humorous newsgroups.

The Mona Lisa would be proud of you, no matter what you do.

THE CENTRE FOR THE EASILY AMUSED

Do you read the back of cereal boxes with earnest? Or comb the Sunday comics until you've found Waldo? You might qualify for admission into the CEA, the Centre for the Easily Amused. Here you'll find dozens of site gags from the folks at the CEA, plus hundreds of links to inane (but admittedly funny) spots on the Web. Take the CEA's poll, try your luck at the Amuse-o-matic 2000, and--as if they needed one--check out the Kung Fu movie parody.

You really should visit Squiffy's House of Fun! To get there, click on the Maple leaf....

Bad Cookie
Sure, many of us have played that absurd fortune cookie game in which we add the words "in bed" to the end of our prescribed fortune. But even that randy twist doesn't deflate the often bubbly, rosy text that greets us when we crack open the dessert. And it doesn't take a cynic to wish for a fortune with a little more teeth, a little more realism and grit. Enter not the dragon, but Bad Cookie, an online fortune cookie for the rest of us. Click the virtual cookie for gems like "Beware the dark, mechanical bird" or "You have little wit or energy," and suddenly, even your worst days don't seem so bad compared to the fortune this site predicted for you.

Creator's Syndicate is much like United Media (http://www.comiczone.com/), Creator's Syndicate distributes several of the comic strips that appear in your local newspaper. You can find a complete list of the Creator's Syndicate's online comic strips by clicking on the "comics" icon on the Syndicate's main homepage, or by clicking here

Creator's Syndicate's Web site also includes an archive of editorial cartoons by Chip Bok (of the Akron Beacon Journal), Bob Gorrell (of the Richmond Times-Dispatch), and 1995 Pulitzer Prize winner Mike Luckovich (of the Atlanta Constitution). You can see these by clicking on the "editorial cartoons" icon or clicking here. This Web site also includes an archive of columns by Ann Landers, as well as opinion columns by Mark Shields, Susan Estrich, Robert Novak, and Tony Snow (although, the opinion columns seem to be temporarily offline).

I got the "Comics" stuff from TOURBUS

TOURBUS is an Internet mailing list brought by the team of Patrick Douglas Crispen, creator of the popular ROADMAP series and "Doctor Bob" Rankin, columnist for Boardwatch Magazine and author of "Accessing The Internet By E-Mail".
TOURBUS is a text-based tour of some of the coolest sites on the Internet. Patrick and Bob serve as your tour guides, not only giving you the sites' addresses but also an inside look at what actually makes each TOURBUS stop "cool".
Some TOURBUS postings may contain messages from our sponsors. This helps to offset the effort required to bring you a high quality resource twice each week. (Posts go out on Tuesday and Thursday.)
