The
AppLE PIES
is a group of four
roman lads that play
BEATLES'
songs
completely live
from Love Me Do
to Let It Be
the 1960-70
era.
The Style, sound and
especially the vibes are heard, without any electronic
effects, by using the same RICKENBAKER and GRETSCH guitars,
left handed "violin" HOFNER bass, VOX AC 30 guitar amp., and
LUDWIG drums, exactly the same types of
instruments used by the Fab Four.
On stage the
band's look is enhanced by the classic grey Beatles'suits,
boots, and of course, haircuts.The show begins with a wild
rendition of 'TWIST and SHOUT', continues with the
romantic 'ALL MY LOVING', and rocks out with
'SHE LOVES YOU', 'HELP','TICKET TO
RIDE', 'DAY TRIPPER', 'YESTERDAY',
'MICHELLE', 'HEY JUDE' ,'LET IT BE'and
many other hits wich are some of
the most famous and fabulous songs in
the world ! ! !
Moreover
the AppLE PIES
also play all
the published Beatles's songs like BESAME MUCHO, SOME OTHER
GUY, HIPPY HIPPY SHAKE, I GOT A WOMAN, LEAVE MY KITTEN ALONE
etc.
The
AppLE PIES began
in 1991 and have toured throughout Italy at all the
important Italian music clubs and have always remained true
to their musical form. On June 27, 1995, thirty years after
the only Beatles concert in Rome at the Adriano Theater
(June 1965), the Roman council has
commemorated
the event whith
the AppLE PIES
performing on
stage at same theater.
Saturday october 12
1997 the AppLE PIES
performed at
Olimpic Stadium (Rome) before the fotball match
Italy-England with an audience of 70.000 people.
