20000905: Windows 95 B/C Vserver Update

September/2000
Tech Note #5

Summer 2000 computer maintenance - all Windows 95 B/C workstations:

Install the July/1997 Vserver update. Copy VSERVUP.exe from the "WSD1IP 2000" diskette to C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS on each workstation. Run the update from that location. You will need to reboot. This update corrects a problem connecting from an NT 4.0 system to shared files on a Windows 95 B/C workstation. See February/2000 Tech Note #2 for more information.

Division technicians may download the latest version of the WSD1IP diskette from the shop ftp site.

Note: Windows 95B/C workstations which have had the most recent version of the WSD1 Anti-Virus Installer/Updater run already have VSERVUP.EXE installed.
