How are you Alan MacDonald?
How have you been? And Alice? Growing I bet. Is Trish back
or still at home with her mum?
I went to the Scottish Highland Festival over the weekend
that was held about 7 blocks from here. I listened to over 100
pipes and drums play Amazing Grace and started crying because
that song will always remind me of the fallen firefighters in
NYC. The MC was wearing a kilt and tux top and I wondered if
you had better looking legs than he did. He came from Glasgow
and his accent was softened a bit from living in New Jersey and
Dallas. There was a trio there called Smithfield Fair playing
at the pavillion that was renamed Edinburgh Stage for the event.
I bought one of their CDs and wondered how you were. You just
seemed to drop away. Don't think I never noticed, I did. And
I miss you.
There was a whole row of tents for the different Clans. I
walked the entire length of it but there was no tent for my family
name. There was one for McDonald (sic) and I wondered how you
were.
And today my logs registered someone from Aberdeen and again,
I wondered how you were.
