To his right is Seyyid Mehmed Zeynelabidin Efendi, Chief of the Descendants of the Prophet, whom we saw in (20b) and to his left is Governor Ali Pasha of Raqqa. The other diners at this table are the sheiks of the Ayasofya, Sultan Ahmed, Süleymaniye, and Sultan Bayezid mosques. The table in the foreground is the third-ranking one and is occupied by the chief of the Exchequer and nine sheiks. Image (58b) shows the rest of the feast. The upper table is presided over by İbrahim Pasha (governor of Maraş) and Tevkii Mustafa Pasha. They are accompanied by the sheiks of the Sultan Mehmed (Fatih), Şehzade, Selim, Eyüp, and Yenicami mosques. (According to Vehbi, Seyyid Abdüssamed Efendi, the sheik of the Kılıç Ali Pasha mosque, was also seated at this table even though his mosque was not an imperial one). In the fourth-ranking table in the foreground, ten sheiks are dining. (According to Vehbi, two more tables for this feast were set up in another guest tent and four ground cloths were laid out for still more seyyids to dine on. Levni does not depict any of this.)
