?The time has come,? she said, ?Time to confront Mikal,? she said as she walked through the corridors and down and down to the dungeon. The walls were grey and dark, the way they supposed be in a dungeon. During the walk, she kept thinking about him. She looked up suddenly and found that she had made her way to the dungeon?s ante-room staring face to face with at Malchek, one of the lower guards. ?May I enter?? she asked, though she had but to order him to open the door.
Entering the dimly lit cage, as it looked, she saw a tall man standing at the only window in the room, through grim to the outside world. ?What are you doing here, Mikal??
The man was Mikal DeLuce, a scientist of genetics, who had in his many years as a scientist created many unusual ?things.? In one expieriments, his last, he was working to create a creature whom would serve whoever created it. But in the final stages, his fiance, Jessyca Milo walked into the mess and from radiation turned into one of Mikal?s ?things,? something less than human, something wolf, tiger, and eagle. After this, he was broken, because Jessyca attacked and ran from their home to the sewers Boston. He then stopped all work and tried to find a cure for Jessyca.
In time Jessyca built up a word in the sewers, trying to seek answers for what happened. She couldn?t go anywhere, and was bound to the darkness, this was where she ended up, alone and miserable. Mikal was working on a cure, but after while she lost hope.
Seven and a half years later, Jessyca still remembered and came to Mikal to find her answers. Mikal explained, but she didn?t wanted to hear the cure, she just wanted answers.
?Seven years is a long time, Mikal. I have learned to live with this, have you? I just want answers.? She stumbled off, tears blocking her sight, she didn?t want to admit that she hadn?t gotten over it. ?I?ll be back in one hour,? she said, ?I need time to think.?
In her chambers, where she could think and cry without disruption. She thought about Mikal. How had he found her, and what was he trying to do now?
If he was trying to help, would he? He seemed genuine. Could he really change all that happened; a life of darkness of Boston?s sewers to?ah, a life?she couldn?t even imagine it, a life outside with Mikal. Amidst her gloom, Jessyca found the courage she lost long ago. To ask help of Mikal.
One hour later, she returned to Mikal?s cage, where he still stood at the grimy window, where she asked the one thing she had been wanting to for seven years. ?What can you do for me??
He talked about an estate up in Vermont, Lockheart, he couldn?t mean that as an answer. No, he said , but as she heard it, she would be able to live in peace up in Lockheart. Quiet seclusion.
?If only,? she muttered.

This story was started as a journal entry in my junior year English class. I liked it so much that I went back after the year was over and worked on it. This is the resultof my work.
