Creation Myth

The beginning is a tyme of darkness and no substance, but is of a solitary candle. It stands on nothing and burns with two flames, one light and one dark, on one wick. This is good and evil and they lived in the darkness and no substance.

Tyme passes, even though there was no tyme. The candle burned brighter and it became restless with nothing to do at all, but burn. So, the candle burned even brighter and as the light grew there appeared an egg, floating in the middle of the darkness and no substance.

The light from the candle gave heat to the egg and as tyme past, though there still was no tyme, the egg began to glow. As the egg glowed, cracks began to form in the opaque shell...

...In a sudden flash of light the egg broke open and there were two birds, one the colour of fire and the other the colour of darkness.

The bird of fire rose high in the darkness and no substance, its wings spread wide, catching hold of the candle with its wings. The light flame jumped upon the bird of fire?s wing, illuminating it. ?I am Phoenix, Great Bird of Life! I go and make the world!? And with that Phoenix flapped her wings once and was gone.

And there was another flap of wings and the dark bird rose after Phoenix, catching the candle and dragging the dark flame with it. Somehow it glowed of darkness when the dark flame jumped upon it. It squawked loudly in the direction Phoenix had gone, ?I am Crow, the Fearful and Disastrous Bird of Death. I hunt you Phoenix, to destroy all you Create.? And with that Crow flapped his wings after Phoenix. In pursuit for always and forever.
