Mrs. Frances Evanchesky Polinsky, 94 of Dushore, PA, died January 3, 1992, at her home. She was born September 22, 1897, in Scranton, PA, where her family had moved from Chicago. She was a daughter of Francis and Thomasina Soklowski Evanchesky.
She grew up in Mildred and attended Cherry Township High School and later worked at Finan's Hotel in Dushore. On August 3, 1914, she was married to John Harry Polinsky at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred. In 1940, they moved to Swoyersville-Forty Fort (Luzerne County), but in 1977 she returned to Sullivan County to reside with her son, the Rev. John R. Polinsky, who by that time had retired from the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT.
Mrs. Polinsky was a member of St. Basil's church in Dushore and St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred, and a member of the Altar & Rosary Societies of both churches.
She was devoted to her home and her family.
Surviving are four sons: Rev. John Polinsky of Dushore; Frank E. Polinsky of Forty Fort; William H. Polinsky of Utica, NY; and Richard J. Polinsky, also of Forty Fort; and two daughters, Alice M. Ortyl of Reading, PA and Genevieve Endrusick of Dallas, PA; a sister, Mrs. James (Stella) Herrick of Ormond Beach, FL; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1961, and a son, Joseph, in 1983.
Funeral services were held January 6, 1992, from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, Dushore followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred. Rev. John R. Polinsky and Rev. Paul M. Baier were celebrants. Burial was in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetary.

Frances married John Harry POLINSKY, son of Unknown and Unknown, on 3 Aug 1914 in Mildred, PA. (John Harry POLINSKY was born in 1889 in Mildred, PA, died in 1961 in Mildred, PA and was buried in Mildred, Sullivan, PA.)
