There's blood all over, and the shoe's too small. She's not the bride you met at the ball." If you would like to read the Grimm version of 'Snow White,' click here. *This is a lesser known fairytale that may remind you of The 10th Kingdom, when the flower blooms on Christine: "There was once a poor woman who had two children. The youngest had to go every day into the forest to fetch wood. Once when she had gone a long way to seek it, a little child, who was quite strong, came and helped her industriously to pick up the wood and carry it home, and then before a moment had passed the strange child disappeared. The child told her mother this, but at first she would not believe it. At length she brought a rose home, and told her mother that the beautiful child had given her this rose, and had told her that when it was in full bloom, he would return. The mother put the rose in water. One morning her child could not get out of bed. The mother went to the bed and found her dead, but she lay looking very happy. On the same morning, the rose was in full bloom." *The number 7 is really important here. Virginia was left at age 7 by her mother. Snow White left the castle when Wendell was 7. The 7 dwarves climbed over the 7 hills. In the book it is mentioned it took the gypsies 7 years to catch all the birds. Tony is cursed with 7 years bad luck when he breaks the mirror. When Relish first invades Bean Town he gives Wendell 7 days to come and face him. **(thanks to Nadia for the following addition to this one!) Anthony and Wendell all have 7 letters in their names. **(thank you Kim for reminding me of this!!) In the dream sequence in the swamp, Anthony is on the phone with Virginia and says that he now has a 7 year old son who he needs her to take care of. *The map of the kingdoms is really just an altered map of Europe. *The 10th Kingdom was nominated for and won an Emmy for 'Outstanding Main Title Design' in 2000. *Throughout the series Wolf scratches his head 34 times. *The 10th Kingdom is mentioned in the Stephen King novel Black House. (If anyone could tell me the pages, I would be much obliged.) I think Simon Moore knows Stephen King pretty well because he also worked on a play with him called 'Misery.' *The Central Park Scenes were really filmed at Battersea Park in South London.
