Welcome

My name is Tala Kirby. I am 27 years old, a Gemini, and an artist in a couple of different venues. I like to write, and so I made a blog to hold some of my essays. I like to create and collect graphics and animations, and I also like to collect music and cat graphics.

I have four cats, Bizzy, Dobi, Gollum, and Peter Steele. Gollum has Down's Syndrome, and aside from the unusualy-shaped head and eyes, corkscrew tail (which is just a birth defect, nothing to do with the DS), and overly-loving personality, he has the curse of an enlarged heart. I treasure him each day that I can be with him, for I know that he isn't expected to live very long.

I have a wonderful fiance, Chris. (Yep, sorry fellas, I'm taken.) He has a new puppy named Braun, who is 3/4 German Shepard and 1/4 Boxer.

I have a young son, Ivan, who is 7 years old. I have not seen Ivan since January of 1999, due to a cold and calculating divorce where my ex-husband's family completely lied and left me bitterly without the son that I love so dearly.

Chris and I are both college students, my major being Journalism with a broadcast/mamgement minor. Chris is an MIS major, undecided minor.

We have not set a date for marriage, as neither of us feels that we should have to sign a paper that says we love each other just for the sake of government. Neither of us are very fond of governmental interferance in personal stuff; it's none of the government's business.

Currently we live in Cookeville, TN while we go to college. Once we graduate, we plan to vacate TN ASAP. We have just found that it doesn't seem to agree with either of us very well, and we hope to venture northward.
