DAYS COUPLES
In 1997, Shawn D. walked in on a drug deal at school, he was shot by the dealer. Shawn D. was rushed to the hospital and was okay and got by with a shoulder wound.
In 1999, Shawn D. was been shipped off to boarding school by the evil Gina inhabiting his mother's body. Shawn returned home later that year, attending Salem High. Viewers were soon treated to flashbacks of his long-time friendship with Belle Black, which quickly turned into a relationship.
During a high school dance we were trated to Shelle dance....
Unfortunately, that relationship ended when Shawn talked Jan into keeping the child she conceived when Paul raped her, and told everyone that it was his baby.
After Jan lost the baby and the truth came out, Shawn and Belle remained broken up for a short time, but were eventually able to put their differences aside, and got back together. They both started at Salem University, where Shawn ended up with a roommate named Dozer, but their relationship was being threatened again. First Shawn kept from Belle the fact that he thought he'd killed his second cousin, Colin Murphy, then Belle's newly discovered half-sister Cassie DiMera was determined to break them up and steal Shawn for herself.
Luckily for Shawn and Belle, despite their problems, they were always able to find their way back to each other. When the citizens of Salem started dying, Shawn pushed Belle to get out of town to keep her safe, and to keep her from interfering in his plans to prove that their friend Rex was the killer. Belle finally returned and the two were close to marriage until Shawn's grandmother Alice died, and Belle's mother Marlena was deemed responsible for her murder.
Shawn needed to get away for a few days, but unfortunately ended up being kidnapped by 'Mrs. B' (whom he thought was a friend of Alice's), and for months he was held hostage by Jan and forced to watch Belle and Philip get closer.
Shawn finally managed to escape from Jan but ended up seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. When he woke up, his memory of recent events was hazy -- he could remember Jan's set-up sex scense and Belle's moments with Philip, but not that he was kidnapped and held against his will.
He went through a total personality change, becoming surly and angry, and moved in with Jan, whom he believed to be his girlfriend. Unfortunately, his personality change was so extreme that it wasn't long before he became verbally and emotionally abusive to her. And no matter what, he couldn't forget Belle, even though he pushed her away. On the day of Philip and Belle's wedding, Shawn crashed his motorcycle through the church to get to her, but he was too late. He wouldn't leave her alone, though, until she admitted that she was in love with him too.
Belle was supposed to tell Philip she was still in love with Shanw and she wanted to be with him. Her plans were thrown off track when Philip was called to active duty and sent over seas to fight in the war. She swore to Shawn that as soon as he got back she would tell him.
Belle was mortified when she learned that Philip had been taken prisoner during the war. No one knew at the time that he hadn't been taken prisoner by the "enemy" they thought but by Tony Dimera. Watching Belle go through the torture and guilt of Philip going through all this (via satilitte videos) and her feeling awful about loving Shanw under the circumstances Shawn got a group of buddies together and they went to save Philip. They did but then Philip went back to active duty for a brief amount of time and lost his leg.
Belle vowed to stand by her husband while he dealt with this huge blow. Just as she was about to come clean and tell Philip the truth she found she was pregnant. Belle and Philip are together and have a baby girl now. Or do they???

PHILIP KIRIAKIS AND CHLOE LANE
Chloe was raised in numerous foster homes throughout her life, always told that her parents had died in a car accident. She learned the truth one day when Mrs. Rush, the director of the home where she was staying, introduced her to Nancy (she had called Nancy, asking her what the heck she should do about Chloe). She agreed to come back to Salem with Nancy, even agreeing to Nancy's request that Craig not know she was her biological daughter. Instead, she was 'the daughter of a friend'. After overhearing an argument between Craig and Nancy, Chloe stole some money from Nancy and ran away. She watched as Nancy got hit by a truck, but it didn't stop her. She changed her mind when she heard that Nancy was in a coma, and returned to Salem. Her singing woke her mother up.
Her initial relationship with Craig was very tense, because she constantly had to lie about who she really was, but they soon found an even ground they could communicate on, even becoming friends. Craig was a valuable friend once Chloe started Salem High. Aside from dressing in all black, Chloe's high wall of defensiveness translated itself into cold cockiness and condescension, and she immediately made enemies among her fellow students because of her attitude. Things escalated, with people going so far as to leave dead chickens on her doorstep. Luckily for Chloe, two kind-hearted students (Shawn Douglas Brady and Isabella Black) took pity on her, and struck up a friendship. But it was Phillip Kiriakis who followed her to the docks the night she sang an aria for Shawn Brady's birthday.
Things went topsy-turvy again when Nancy's father Dr. Albert Miller came to town for a visit. He realised the truth, that Chloe was the daughter Nancy had years earlier. Tempted to leave town with her grandfather, Chloe finally decided to unburden herself to Belle, and tell her the truth that Nancy was her birth mother. Chloe decided to stay, and walked in on Nancy telling Craig the truth about who she (Chloe) was. Craig briefly walked out, but returned home to accept Chloe. Good thing...Chloe soon began sniping at Nancy and pushing her away at every given opportunity, and it was Craig she would turn to.
Phillip and Chloe were growing closer and closer. It wasn't Chloe saving Phillip's life that pulled the two together though...it was Chloe's appearance when Phillip took her to the Last Blast dance. She blew him away when she showed up in a tight red sheath, and she was shocked when he took the dousing of chicken blood meant for her (after Shawn pushed her out of the way). They almost kissed, but Nancy interrupted the two, infuriating Chloe again. Later, when she found out Phillip called off a date with her, she vowed revenge (not realising that he was working hard to get his mother and father back together).
Chloe's life took a nosedive when some new houseguests moved in...Mimi and her family (mother, father, brother). It turned out that her father had lost her job, and they had been living on the streets. The teens set up a Habitat for Humanity thing, and the Lockharts needed somewhere to stay...the Wesley house was the place (Craig and Nancy were trying to improve their public image). But Chloe didn't want them living there...and embarked on a campaign of her own to get the them out of her house. It didn't help that her relationship with Nancy was quickly deteriorating.
Chloe and Phillip finally had their first kiss, but it was marred by soon finding out that the only reason Phillip had asked Chloe to the Last Blast was because he had lost a bet to Shawn Brady. She ran from everything, encountering Brady Black on the docks. They traded barbs for awhile (particularly him telling her that her singing has no passion), before parting ways. They encountered each other again on Halloween, him dressed as Zorro. They continued to spar, but Chloe was soon officially dating Phillip. She even accompanied him to the coronation, and forged a friendship with Stefano DiMera. She was there for Phillip after the news hit that Victor was dead.
Chloe and Phillip almost became lovers in the stables on the Kiriakis estate, but were interrupted when Victor showed up. Chloe was shocked...Victor was supposed to be dead! Then she was furious. Phillip had no right to keep it from her. She didn't even try to see his point, and ran off. When Nancy and Craig found her, she told them that Phillip had raped her. She later recanted (after Craig punched Phillip), but justified what she did by saying that Phillip had no right to lie to her.
She and Philip reunited, but after Jan and Mimi posted OperaGirl.net photos of Chloe in the shower at the Last Blast dance, Philip blew up at Chloe, calling her all manner of horrible names. Although Philip tried to get back together with Chloe, she just couldn't trust him anymore, and refused to go on the class trip to Puerto Rico. She soon began hanging out with Belle's brother Brady (all her friends were on the island), but Philip was still a part of her life. When he learned she was spending time with Brady, he again verbally attacked her, but Chloe kept making excuses for him.
Although Brady was in love with Chloe, Chloe was still torn between her feelings for Philip and her newly born feelings for Brady. BRADY BLACK AND CHLOE LANE
Although Brady was in love with Chloe, Chloe was still torn between her feelings for Philip and her newly born feelings for Brady. Chloe is getting things back on track with Philip again when she stars experiencing health problems. Eventually she is diagnosed with leukemia, and her family begins looking for her birth father in the hopes of a bone marrow transplant. She and Brady go looking for Frederick Sykes, Nancy's rapist. While on their journey, Philip arranges to have Brady arrested in an effort to destroy Brady and Chloe's friendship, and after seeing the truth about Philip, Chloe tells him it's over forever.
Brady and Chloe slowly begin moving toward Romance as Chloe continues to look for her biological father. When they finally find Frederick Sykes, he tells them there is no way he is her father ... he had a vasectomy years ago. Back in Salem, Craig does some investigating, and shocks Nancy with the news that HE is Chloe's biological father. Luckily, the child that Nancy is carrying turned out to be a perfect match for Chloe, and she received the bone marrow transplant she desperately needed.
After recovering, Chloe again had the chance to sing for Cecilia Marin, who offered her the chance of a lifetime. Although she was deeply in love with Brady, Chloe left Salem to give her dream of singing a chance.
Chloe came back to Salem at Victor's insistence in December of 2003. Although she initially planned to stay and be with her true love, Brady, an opportunity of a lifetime came up and Chloe couldn't turn it down. She left Salem, and Brady, behind only a few days after coming to town. A few months later she was in an accident and, after being horribly scarred, forced her mother to tell the world that she was dead because she couldn't bear anyone to see how she looked now. After learning there was a surgery that could restore her looks she agreed to go to Salem for a radical surgery, as well as tell Brady that she was still alive, as she now trusted his feelings for her enough to tell him the truth.
Unfortunate; thanks to Nicole, Chloe's surgery didn't tunr out as planned. Nicole had pretended to be a nurse and switch surgical intruments causing Chloe to get a bad infection. Nicole wanted Brady and she wasn't going to let a dead chloe come back and ruin her plans.
When Tony was caught he quickly escaped and Brady had him at gun point. Tony promised him he could prove to him and deliver to him Chloe if he was to let him go. Brady of course didn't believe him. But Tony dialed a number and on the other end of the phone Brady heard Chloe's voice. Chloe was shocked and frightened , she quickly handed the phone to Nicole who had recently had to admit to knowing Chloe was alive. Chloe swore her to silence, of course Nicole helped Chloe make this decision.Once back in Salem Brady badgered Nicole to tell him where Chloe was. Nicole insisted it must have been a trick played on him by Tony because Chloe was most certainly dead. While working to convince Brady Chloe was dead and to marry her, Nicole was also helping Chloe decide to leave Salem before Brady found her. Nicole played on Chloe's lack of self esteem due to her scars to accomplish this.
Just as the Kiriakis jet was about to fly away with Chloe forever, nancy admitted to Brady that Chloe was alive. Brady got to the plane in time. They were FINALLY reunited. Much to Nicole's dismay Brady and Chloe picked up where they left off, in a wonderful romance. They soon were married.
Chloe and Brady went on their honeymoon and chose not to return to Salem.

BELLE BLACK KIRIAKIS AND PHILIP KIRIAKIS
After Philip's final break up with Chloe, and when he realized that she had found new love with Brady Black, he left Salem to join the military. He wasn't gone long though...he came back to town as part of the Love is Blind contest (he was the mystery hunk), and re-developed a crush on his good friend Belle Brady. For a long time he kept this crush to himself because Belle was dating his good friend Shawn Brady.
Unfortunately, when Belle lied for her mother, she put a permanent wedge between her and Shawn. After learning that Belle's lies enabled Marlena to kill Alice, Shawn took off.
When Shawn did not come back, Belle continued to hope and pray that it would all work out, but after Jan Spears told her that Shawn had joined the merchant marines, she was devastated, and then later shocked to realize that her 'friend' Philip had deeper feelings for her than she thought. Philip waited until just the right time to start pursuing Belle romantically. Philip stayed supportive of Belle while she misses Shanw and mourned her mother. In time Belle began to have feelings for Philip as well. When Philip proposed to her she accepted against the advice of good friend Mimi.
When Shawn came back to town, Belle initially held out hopes that they would reunite but soon realized he was in deep with Jan Spears. She and Shawn slept together just once when they got stuck in a barn together, but that didn't stop Belle from walking down the aisle with Philip.

After the wedding, Belle and Shawn met on the roof, and Belle finally admitted that she still loved Shawn and wanted to leave her husband to be with him. She rushed to tell Philip before he left that she wanted to be with Shawn, but he had already gotten on the plane leaving for Iraq. Belle remained firm in her desire to tell Philip the truth until Philip lost his leg in a land mine explosion. Belle made the tough decision to stand by her husband, but she can't forget her feelings for Shawn.
As Philip began to heal from his injuries Belle decided it was time to tell him thr truth about her love for Shawn. ooops! Someone had other plans....Belle found out she was pregnant. She and Philip were going to be parents. Belle decided to do the right thing and stay with the Philip, "the father" of her baby. Finally little Claire Kiriakis was born...
Belle is now battling post pardum depression. Is Claire really Philip's? Or is she Shawn's???

REX BRADY AND MIMI LOCKHART
Shortly after Rex and his twin sister Cassie "landed" in Salem he began dating Mimi. The two fell very much in love. Through all of Rex's ups and downs mimi stayed by his side as much as possible. When everyone thought he was the Salem Stalker she kept insisting he couldn't be.
Mimi found out she was pregnant. Excited but scared she planned to tell Rex. Everytime she started to tell him Rex would talk about how much he didn't want children right now. So in the end, to spare Rex feelings of entrapment Mimi chose to have an abortion. She ended up getting a terrible infection and was told she could never have a child of her own. Mimi, her mother Bonnie and Belle were the only people that knew about it. Ummm Nope, sicko Jan found out. Jan blackmailed mimi to help her keep Shanw abd Belle apart as well as Jan's secret cage of love where she was keeping Shanw a secret or she would tell sexy rexy bout the baby. Mimi deserapte to keep Rex did it.
Belle fainted at the hospital, everyone assuned fromstress and exhaustion. mimi went to check on her and found out she was pregnant. Belle began pushing Mimi to tell Rex about the baby she had been pregnant with and the abortion she had when Rex over heard the disscussion. A crushed Rex left town... ending the love of Mimi and Rex....

BILL AND LAURA HORTON
Bill Horton, born in 1940, was the fourth youngest of the Horton children. Bill's siblings include Tommy Jr., Mickey, Addie, and Marie Horton. Bill started the show as a recent graduate and aspiring surgeon.
It was at the hospital where he first met and began dating Laura Spencer. When his brother Mickey also became interested in Laura the two brothers clashed over her. Eventually Laura and Bill became engaged and the two planned to marry, but when Bill was stricken with bone tuberculosis in his hand it seemed likely Bill would never be a surgeon. Devastated Bill left Salem to sort out his future and eventually took a medical position in another town.
In late 1967 Bill returned to Salem
After Mickey and Laura had wed Bill was consumed will jealousy, and one night while drunk Bill raped Laura in her office. When he came too the next morning Bill could not remember everything that happened, and Laura told him she turned him away, in order to prevent any feuds among her husband and Bill.
In 1968 Bill would discover that he was the father of the child Laura was carrying when he accidentally saw the results of Mickey's sterility test in Tom's office. Bill kept the knowledge a secret, and after the baby was born Bill decided it would be best that nobody knew Bill knew the truth about the baby. Bill let his brother Mickey continue to believe he was the father of Michael Horton.
Everyone's happiness would soon be ruined when Bill learned that Kitty Horton had a tape recording of Laura and Tom Horton talking about Michael in which they revealed he was Michael's natural father. He went to Kitty's apartment and was able to retrieve the tape and destroy it. Kitty was murdered that night and Bill was charged. He was innocent but couldn't explain what he was doing there without telling Michael's paternity. So he kept quiet and did 3 yrs in jail.
In 1972 Bill and Laura began to fall in love when Laura learned the true reason Bill went to jail. Laura planned to divorce Mickey and marry Bill. When the two were overheard talking by Mike, Mike assumed they were having an affair and ran out into the street and was hit by a car. Mike would survive, but afterwards he told his uncle Bill he hated him and to stay away from his family.
In 1973 Mickey would suffer a massive coronary, but with Bill's skilled hands he managed to save his brothers life. Soon after his operation Mickey would suddenly disappear from Salem. With Mickey out of the way Bill was free to pursue Laura, but her marriage to Mickey still stood in the way. When Mickey was discovered to be alive he granted Laura a divorce so he could remain with Maggie Simmons.
On December 4, 1975 Bill and Laura Horton were married, and a year later Laura gave birth to their daughter Jennifer Rose Horton on September 11, 1976.
In 1976 the truth about Mike's parentage came out when Mike was injured while repairing a truck on Maggie Simmons' farm. Mickey and Laura both donated blood to save Mike's life, but neither matched. Mickey found out through Bill's medical records that Bill was a match, and Mickey's memory quickly flooded back. Mickey was enraged and bought a gun and went after Bill. Mickey waited for Bill to come home, and when he did they both fought over the gun. Bill ended up being shot in the arm, and Mickey suffered a mental breakdown. Mickey would be admitted to Belview Sanitarium for one year following the incident.
After the birth of his daughter Jennifer, Bill's wife Laura fell into a deep depression, but overcame it will Bill and Dr. Marlena Evans help.
In 1977/78 Bill began having an affair with a coworker Dr. Kate Winograd. He eventually left Laura to live with Kate, but when he realized he still loved Laura he returned to her and tried to repair their relationship.
In 1980 after putting his wife Laura into a sanitarium Bill left Salem and left his daughter Jennifer with Tom and Alice Horton.
Bill returned briefly in 1994 when Laura came home from the sanitarium. He didn't stay too long.

DON CRAIG AND MARLENA EVANS
Fresh out of her intership and recovering from a broken heart, a young Dr. Marlena Evans is accepted in an residence position at a small, mental hospital on the out-skirts of Salem, Bayview Sanitarium. Resident or not, Marlena was thrown into her first real case. Marlena soon learned that the problem was years in the making.
Marty Hansen a.k.a Mickey Horton was just getting to know his family. Amnesia had wiped out any memory he had of his parents, his wife and his son. He wander away from home and found his way to Brookville where he began a new life and soon found a new wife. Marty/Mickey was starting to like being called DAD when an accident on the Simpson Farm in Brookville change everything. Mike Horton was working on the farm when a wagon fell and crushed Mike beneath it. Mike was rushed to the Brookville hospital for treatment. Marty/Mickey attempted to donate the necessary blood that Mike needed and was told he was totally incompatible. Not an easy way to find out that your SON is not your son.
Marty/Mickey learned how Bill had raped his wife, Laura early in their marriage and afraid to cause family problems Laura hid the truth. Marty/Mickey struck out at everyone, he attempted to strangle Laura. He bought a gun, broke into Bill and Laura’s home and shot Bill in the shoulder. After finding out that Linda Phillips had lied to him about being the father of her daughter, Melissa, Marty/Mickey also tried to strangle Linda.
Marty/Mickeywas immediately admitted into Bayview Sanitarium and was in desperate need of a good psychiatrist (the only one in town at the time was Laura). Dr. Marlena Evans was assigned to work with Marty/Mickey. She struggled through his file, hoping to find the best way to help Marty/Mickey recover and return home. She soon found out that it wasn’t going to be an easy task.
During a moment of lucidity, Marty/Mickey confessed to Marlena concerns for her safety he was well aware of what he had attempted to do and that both his intended victims were blondes. To put him at ease, Marlena clearly stated that she is not a natural blonde. Marlena began working with Marty/Mickey and trying to help him deal with the painful memories that seemed to be flooding back. They seemed to work well together and Marty/Mickey seemed to be recovering nicely.
Her treatment of Marty/Mickey puts her into contact with his family and friends, specifically one friend, attorney Don Craig. Shortly after Marty/Mickey was admitted into Bayview, Marlena introduction to Don Craig was explosive. It wasn’t exactly love at first sight but they did manage to work together to help Mickey.
"I thought if Mickey had a diversion it might help to speed his
recovery. I’m not trying to force Mickey into something he’s not
ready for, just letting him know that there was a place for him
when he was ready to return to work." Don told her.
Marlena quickly apologized and they started over with proper introductions. It didn’t take long for Marlena to realize that Don as an extremely handsome and charming man as Don quickly convinced Marlena to go out with him.
Marlena soon realized that not only was Don on the rebound, but that her heart hadn’t quite mended from her years with Paul. Julie had left him standing at the altar to be by Doug’s side and Marlena was still very much in love with a man she couldn’t have. Without really explaining, Marlena told Don that friendship was all she could offer him, at least for a while. Don knew that in time something special could and would happen between them. He wasn’t going to give up too easily on this beautiful doctor.
New to Salem, Marlena began house hunting and quickly purchased the “Gate House”. A small house near the lake. She was hired by University Hospital as a Staff Member and immediately set up office becoming fast friends with Laura Horton. They found that they had a lot in common. Laura was interested in Mickey’s progress and liked the idea of having a peer around, someone who understood her theories and ideas, knew the extent of what her work required, and could help Mickey. Marlena enjoyed having a friend around to help her learn her way around Salem. She realized that with the help of one friend, a strange town wasn’t going to be all that lonely.
Marlena’s growing practice in Salem brought with it all the challenges that Marlena had expected, along with a few complications.
The relationship between Don and Marlena was never really smooth sail. Shortly after they really started getting serious Samantha (Marlena's Twin Sister) was having herself committed to Bayview Sanitarium in order to clean herself up from the ravages of a Hollywood lifestyle, when she decided to switch places and after drugging Marlena, had her committed to Bayview. It took several months before Marlena was finally freed from the Sanitarium, just before shock therapy began.
At the end of 1977, Don was asked by party representative, Scott Brady (not related in any way to the current Bradys to run for the state senate. After deliberating for several weeks, Don announced both his intentions - to run for the senate and to marry Marlena. While Don was busy with his career, Marlena was still dealing with the trauma of recent events and went to visit her parents.
News of Don’s race for the senate made the papers and a former love from Don’s Law School days decided to pop into Salem with a surprise for Don. Lorraine Temple arrived in Salem with Don’s daughter, Donna. Lorraine had forgotten to tell Don that she was pregnant and Lorraine threatened to blackmail Don with news of his illegitimate daughter.
Don immediately agreed to take custody of Donna, an act that Lorraine had not anticipated. Without any reward Lorraine left town leaving Donna with Don. Donna didn’t seem to like Don but she took an instant liking to Marlena. Marlena allowed Donna to live with her while she and Don planned their wedding.
Samantha was released from the hospital in time to arrive in Salem to be Marlena’s Maid of Honor and the sisters seemed to settle any and all differences from the past.
Donna didn’t think that Don was good enough for Marlena and took every possible step to stop the wedding. Every attempt failed. Finally, the wedding day finally arrives and Marlena is at the church ready to walk down the isle when she receives a phone call from Donna.
“Marlena, I’m on the top floor of the Salem Hotel and I plan
to jump. Enjoy your wedding.”
Then Donna quickly hangs up. Marlena leaves the church with Don standing at the altar and heads for the Salem Hotel.
Samantha heads for the altar and tells Don what happened and Don quickly rushes to the Salem Hotel. When Don arrives at the Salem Hotel he finds Marlena near a window, trying to Donna in. Quietly he climbs out a window on the opposite side where Donna can’t see him and helps her into the building. Before Donna is completely in the window she slips and almost falls. Don catches her and pushes her through the window into Marlena’s arms. Don then loses his balance and falls landing on the sidewalk below.
Don is rushed to University Hospital and immediately into surgery where Neil Curtis operates. He remains unconscious for several days before he finally wakes up. After several months of recuperation, Marlena finally walks down the isle and Don and Marlena are married, with Donna’s blessing.
Several months after Don and Marlena are married, Marlena discovers that she is pregnant. Don is busy on the campaign trail and with his law firm. Still, Marlena and Don seem to have the perfect marriage. The next few months are quiet until the baby is born. DJ, Donald Jerimiah Craig, Jr., was born without complication. Before DJ is a month old, Marlena finds him dead in his crib. The medical diagnosis, SIDS, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
Both Don and Marlena are devastated by DJ’s death. Marlena retreats into herself, trying to find a way to understand why her son was taken from her. Don, too is in pain. His son is gone and the pain of losing yet another child is too much for him to bear. Finally, while on the campaign trail Don turns to Liz Chandler, a beautiful and zealous campaign worker.
Shortly after, Don confesses his affair to Marlena. Don confessing to Marlena and tells her that it was a mistake and it only made him realize how much he loves her.
Marlena tells Don to move out. Marlena reaches out to Don on several occasions and repeatedly finds him with others, usually Liz. Marlena is raped by Kellam Chandler and again reaches for Don, Liz answers the telephone Marlena quickly hangs up.

ABE AND LEXIE CARVER
They met while Lexie was a rookie cop and Abe was the captain with the Salem PD.
They ended up working on some cases together.
They were married during the early 1990s when they were living in Chicago
Lexie worked as the "salem pacifier" riding Salem of the unsavory people. Once this was found out she was fired and no longer allowed to be a police officer. She then became the Dr. Carver we all know and love. She had a one night fling with Brandon Walker and then found out she was pregnant. Paternity of the baby was in question. In the end the father was Abe. Theodore Brandon Carver was happily welcomed into their home
Abe was one of the many so called victims of the Salem Stalker and was presumed dead. At this time Lexie slowly became quite close with a new officer, Tek Kramer. Since Abe's retunr she has tried to remain faithful to their marriage. Abe has gone blind due to something he encountered while being held captive. He has also become impotent. Lexie has recently begun an affair with Tek.

DR. NEIL CURTIS AND LIZ CHANDLER
In 1981 Liz married Don Craig, but after Tony DiMera returned to Salem he told Liz they were still married, and her marriage to Don wasn't valid. Tony then kidnapped Liz and forced her to live at the DiMera Mansion. Stefano forced Liz to spy on Doug, and threatened Neil if she didn't.
In 1982 Liz threatened to leave Tony if he didn't give her a divorce, and Tony then raped and beat Liz. Later to show her who was in control Stefano planted a bomb in Neil's room, which almost killed him. Don Craig promised to help Liz prove the DiMera's tried to kill Neil.
Around the same time Liz Chandler became pregnant with Neil's child, though Tony believed it was his. Tony agreed to grant Liz her divorce after the baby was born, but wanted the baby. Neil tried to pursue a relationship with Liz, though she turned him away, fearing what Stefano or Tony may try to do to Neil.
Liz tried to force Tony to grant her a divorce by taking photographs of him with Renee, but he wouldn't grant her the divorce she so wanted.
In 1983 Stefano had Liz and Marlena kidnapped and used them as hostages so he could escape Salem. Roman and Abe rescued them, but Liz went into labor and gave birth to Noel Curtis, though she never told Neil that Noel was his daughter. When Tony found this out he quickly divorced Liz.
Liz was angry to learn Neil had married Marie Horton. One day Liz broke into Neil's apartment and waited for him to return home. Neil came home and was angry with her, but they soon made love. Neil was then called away to the hospital, and when Liz heard someone downstairs she grabbed a gun and shot the person, who she thought was a prowler. The prowler ended up being Marie. Marie was hospitalized after the shot but recovered. Liz was eventually found, arrested, and sentenced to five years in jail.
While in jail Neil and Marie divorced, and Neil planned to marry Liz. However, at the wedding some of the other prisoners tried to escape, and Liz was shot. When Liz finally came to she had amnesia and thought she was still married to Don Craig.
Liz was released from prison in 1984 on parole, but she still had amnesia. When she tried to holdup Doug's place her memory came flooding back at the site of a gun, when she flash backed to Marie's shooting. Later that year Liz and Neil were married.
Liz opened up her own clothing designing business once out of prison, and soon became a client of Anna DiMera and Alex Marshall's fashion company.
In 1984 Alex, Anna, and Tony picked Haiti for a photo shot for their newly formed fashion company. On board the plane flying to Haiti was Eugene Bradford, Calliope Jones, Bo Brady, Hope Williams, Anna DiMera, Liz Chandler, Carlo, Daphne DiMera, Andre DiMera, and Tony DiMera. On the way to Haiti Andre DiMera surprisingly popped up, and when he threatened the pilot to change his course the pilot died of a heart attack, and the plane crashed on a remote island. As a result of the plane crash Daphne DiMera died in Andre's arms. When Tony learned about this the to fought, and Andre met his demise in a patch of quicksand. Tony gave the necklace with the prism to and island girl, but Stefano managed to get the prism back. Roman Brady showed up, and fought with Stefano atop of a nearby cliff as Bo watched from below. Roman eventually fell, and died on the beach in Bo's arms. When Bo left Roman to get help, Roman's body was gone when he returned. Eventually the Coast Guard arrived, and everyone was rescued.
After Liz returned Neil accused Liz of having an affair with Carlos Forenza. Liz had not had an affair, but his constant accusations and spying sent her into his bed fir a one night stand. Neil and Liz made up, but he told her that in his past he used the alias Alan Jackson and owed a large sum of money to a crime boss. Carlos was out to destroy Neil, because Neil and his father turned state's evidence to keep out of prison. Mario died, and Carlos was out to avenge his father's death by destroying Neil. When Neil and Liz tried to flee Salem they were confronted by Carlos. Neil and Carlos fought, and in the process Neil accidentally shot Carlos with his own gun.
In 1985 Liz's brother Tod came back to Salem to help his sister. He signed her to a record contract promising her stardom, but what she didn't know was that her brother was using her to smuggle drugs and porn to places through her cassette recordings. Tod's use of his sister put her in harms way when Liz was shot in the throat by a cop during a drug bust.
As a present Neil bought Doug's place and renamed it Blondies as a gift to Liz.
Liz's voice returned, but her marriage to Neil suffered many problems. In 1986 Liz divorced Neil and left Salem.
In 1980 Neil met and fell in love with Liz Chandler, however he was forced to break his relationship off with her when Kellam Chandler disapproved of the relationship. After losing Liz Neil continued to gamble and sank himself deeper in debt.
In 1981 Maggie and Mickey decided to have a child. Maggie went to Neil and agreed to be inseminated by an anonymous donner. Neil preformed the procedure, and Maggie soon became pregnant. Later that year Dr. Evan Whyland came to Salem, and Neil knew he was the anonymous donner of Maggie's.
In 1982 Neil and Liz tried to pursue a relationship, but it was put to an end when Tony refused to give Liz a divorce. Later Stefano planted a bomb in Neil's room, but Neil survived the blast and vowed to make the DiMera's pay.
In 1982 when Liz became pregnant Neil realized the baby could be his. Neil tried to continue a relationship with Liz, but she pushed him away because she still feared for him life. Rejected, Neil sought comfort in the arms of Marie Horton. In 1983 Neil married Marie Horton.
Even though Neil married Marie, he still continued to love Liz. When Neil came home and found Liz in his bed he was angry, but then professed his love for her and to two made love. Neil was then called to the hospital, and Liz would eventually shoot Marie, who she thought was a burglar. Liz was arrested and sentenced to serve five years in jail.

TONY DIMERA AND ANNA BrADY
Anna Brady showed up in Salem in 1982 with her daughter Carrie to find her husband and Carrie's father Roman. Roman believed Anna was dead, but she told him she was rescued and then sold into white slavery. Anna had red marks on her back which she claimed where whip marks, but were actually scars from multiple sclerosis, which she kept a secret.
Anna divorced Roman and soon took a job as Tony's secretary. However, Anna had secretly been working for Stefano all along. Stefano had agreed to pay Anna 1 million dollars to have Roman fired from the ISA. Anna hypnotizes Carrie into planting fake deposit slips in his place. Roman was suspended from the police force, but the ISA believed he was framed.
In 1983 Anna and Tony went to Las Vegas, where Anna drugged and married Tony. Tony was angered, but when Stefano's will was read he was forced to live with Renee for one year to gain his inheritance. Anna and Tony lived in the DiMera mansion with Renee and David Banning.
Anna soon became pregnant with Tony's child, and jealous Renee tried to kill Anna in a boating accident. Unfortunately Tony was on the boat with Anna when an explosion went off. Tony and Anna were rescued by David, but Anna lost her baby.
Later that year Tony learned exactly how Anna got him to marry her, by drugging him. Tony quickly divorced Anna, even though Anna had fallen in love with him by that time.
Later Anna became involved with Alex Marshall, but when she found a letter from Kelly Chase implicating Alex in dealings with Stefano she was forced to flee town because Alex was after her. Anna hid in a warehouse, but when it caught fire she was rescued by Roman, who was on the run from the law after being framed for the Salem Slasher murders.
Anna soon learned that the evidence connecting Alex to Stefano was destroyed and she could safely return to Salem. Once in Salem Anna returned to her old job as Tony's secretary, but Alex forced her to spy on Tony for him. While snooping around in Tony's apartment one day she found Tony chained up, and realized she was working for an imposter. Before Anna could get away Andre DiMera, who was impersonating Tony, locked her up with Tony. Later the two were rescued by Roman

In 1985 Alex stole his ex wife Anna's dress designs, but Anna had the last laugh when Eugene rigged the fabric on the dresses to disintegrate while they were on the runway. Later that year Anna had a brief romance with Prince Nicholas Arani II, but it was cut short when he was murdered by the Dragon.
In 1985 Tony and Anna became engaged once again. Their first marriage was thwarted by Alex Marshall, who hired an actor to play the part of the minister. Their second wedding was thwarted when Anna was kidnapped by an Asian potentate. Eventually Tony and Anna were married, and returned to Salem.
After returning from Salem Anna was accused of murdering her an art dealer, Claud Van Zandt, who swindled her out of profits from pieces of hers he sold. Anna was innocent, and while trying to prove her innocence Tony disappeared. Anna was also blamed for her husbands disappearance, but in truth Tony was held captive by a very much alive Claud Van Zandt.
When it was discovered that Claud was still alive Anna was let off the hook, but Tony was till missing. Later Anna received a court document telling her Tony had divorced her. Anna left Salem in 1986 and is currently living in Europe.

KIMBERLY BRADY AND SHANE DONOVAN
Shane came to Salem to keep an eye on Stefano DiMera's illegal dealings. He posed as Larry Welche's butler, and eventually learned of Stefano's acquisitions of two of three rare prisms designed by Larry's father. Shane teamed up with Bo, and the two intended on taking Stefano down.
In 1985 Shane, along with Kimberly, Bo, and Hope, went to England to stop the Dragon, a terrorist who planned to kill Lady Joanna. Bo and Hope chased the Dragon, and managed to trap him in the Tower of London. Later the Dragon escaped, and made his way back to the US. Shane learned the Dragon was his old friend the Duke of Earl, and when he tried to kill Shane he fell to his death.
Shane and Kim fell in love, and Kim began to experience attacks of temporary blindness. While in England they were shocked to find Shane's supposedly dead wife Emma alive. She had been brainwashed by the Dragon to kill Bo and Hope. Emma returned to Salem, and Kim backed away from a now married Shane. Later Shane and Emma divorced, and Kim and Shane reunited.
Shane bought what would become Donovan Manor, complete with the famous secret ISA room. Shane's ISA mentor and friend Levina "Peachie" Peach came to Salem and played the role of Shane's housekeeper. Shane and Peachie had been assigned a new case, they were to take Victor Kiriakis down.
In 1985 Kimberly Brady came into the possession of a roll of film that contained some prints to the location of a treasure that Victor Kiriakis, and Stefano DiMera where after, which would again come into play years down the road. In Miami Bo, Hope, Kim, and Shane were all out to destroy Victor's plan. Shane had been imprisoned by Victor, but Kimberly slept with Victor in order to spare his life. Shane escaped, and managed free Bo and Hope who were trapped with an explosive that was meant to end their lives. Later Victor Kiriakis, Savannah Wilder, and Steve "Patch" Johnson were arrested for their parts in the crime syndicate in Salem. They were all freed when Victor blackmailed Larry Welch into taking the fall for everything. Victor knew Larry killed Megan, and used it against him.
By the end of the year Shane and Kimberly became engaged, but Kimberly soon learned she was pregnant, and she feared Victor was the child's father.
In 1986 Shane and Kimberly became engaged, but Kimberly hid the fact that she thought her child was Victor's. One day Shane heard Kimberly talking her about her fears and quickly broke off the engagement. Later when tests where done to determine the father Emma Donovan Marshall switched the results, and everyone believed Victor was the father.
During a trip to West Virginia, in hopes of reuniting, Kimberly went into labor in a remote cabin in the woods. Shane delivered the baby, and he pledged his love for Kimberly and the child, and they planned to marry even though they believed Victor was Andrew's father. This news infuriated Emma, who tricked Kimberly into signing adoption papers. Emma took little Andrew and planned to sell him on the black market, but was eventually caught, and pleaded insanity and said she was still in love with Shane. However, Andrew wasn't found, and Shane and Kimberly split up.
When Emma Donovan was found dead Kimberly was arrested and charged for the crime. Kimberly was innocent, and Shane worked to free her. Eventually Shane learned that Barbara Stewart had adopted Andrew from Emma. Barbara tried to flee town, but was killed when she crashed her car. Eventually Shane learned that his old partner Gillian Foster had killed Emma and set Kim up in hopes of ruining Shane and Kim's marriage. Andrew was returned to Kim and Shane, and the two reunited.
On May 4 1987 Kim and Shane Donovan married.
Later that year Andrew was hit by a car and rushed to the hospital. When a blood transplant was needed it was discovered that Victor could not possibly be Andrew's father, Shane was indeed his real father.
Shane's problems mounted when his old partner Gabriel Pascal returned. Gabriel pretended to be a Russian Spy who had an affair with Shane in exchange for secrets. When she let this evidence leak to the ISA Shane was fired. He was later reinstated after Emma was exposed.
In 1987 Shane learned he had a daughter named Eve by Emma Donovan. Eve was a troubled young prostitute that Kimberly had befriended and eventually hired to watch over Andrew. Eve was out to break up her father's marriage to Kim because she blamed Kim for breaking up her parents, which she felt lead to her mothers death. Shane took Eve into his house, but she continued to be a problem for Kim, who was pregnant for the second time.
Shane adopted Eve but she was soon forced back into prostitution by her old pimp Nick Corelli. Eve called Kimberly for help, and as a result Kimberly was attacked and lost her baby. Eve was also assaulted and a slash to her face from a knife left her with a permanent scar. Shane soon learned that Eve's mother was Gabriel Pascal, not Emma Donovan. An upset Kimberly left Salem to sort through her life.
Shane began to have mixed feelings for Emma while Kimberly was gone, and even filed for divorce from Kimberly, who eventually returned to Salem.
When Shane's daughter Eve was attacked by the Riverfront Knifer Kimberly decided to go undercover as a prostitute to catch him. Kimberly was attacked, and lost the child she was carrying. When Shane learned what Kim was doing he helped her, and as a result they reunited.
Shane and Kim renewed their vows in 1988 and honeymooned in England. There Kim ran into a man she thought was Shane, only it turned out to be Shane's twin brother , Andrew "Drew" Donovan the III. Shane thought Drew was dead, but he had only been on a secret ISA mission. Drew returned to Salem with Shane and Kim, but Shane was suspicious of his brother. In the end it turned out that Drew was actually a crooked agent who was working for Stefano DiMera all along.
In 1989 Shane accepted a dangerous ISA mission that sent him undercover. However Shane was double crossed by an old ISA friend Colonel Jerico, who abducted Shane and help him prisoner while the ISA and his family believed him to be dead. Shane eventually escaped and he and Jericho duked it out atop a mountain cliff, but when a bomb Jericho had planted went off they both went over the cliff. Shane lost his memory from the fall, but both Shane and Jerico were presumed dead once and for all.
In the mountains Shane, who had amnesia, stumbled on Rebecca Downey. Rebecca had been on the run from her controlling husband and was camping out in the mountains outside of Salem. Unfortunately Rebecca's husband Arthur showed up and Rebecca got into a fight, both Rebecca and Shane thought Arthur was killed. Shane and Rebecca went on the run and told people they were man at wife. At a small Cabin they were staying at Rebecca found Shane's wallet which contained his real ISA badge, but she hid it from him. Rebecca wanted to use Shane to help her escape her husband plus she had fallen in love with him.
Shane eventually found out the truth about who he was, but he still couldn't remember anything. Shane and Rebecca returned to Salem, and when Shane went home he found Kimberly making love to Cal Winters in his bedroom. Shane quickly left and he and Rebecca went to Chicago to try and clear Rebecca's name, not knowing that Arthur was still alive.
After Rebecca was cleared, and Arthur was dealt with, Shane and Rebecca returned to Salem. Cal plotted to have Shane killed, and when Rebecca opposed him he shot and killed her. Shane came home, only to be shot by his wife Kimberly. Kimberly thought Shane was an intruder because Cal had staged some phony break-ins and had given her a gun to protect herself with, it was all part of his plan to have Kimberly kill Shane. Shane survived and in the hospital he learned that his wife had shot him. Shane forgave Kimberly, but another obstacle came in their way. Kimberly was pregnant, and she believed the baby was Cal's, not knowing Cal had blackmailed a doctor on staff to alter the baby's paternity tests. Kimberly tried to secretly have an abortion, but Shane learned about the baby and stopped her. The baby was too much, and Shane and Kimberly broke up.
Kimberly left Salem and gave birth to baby Jeannie a few months later. When Kimberly returned to Salem, Cal Winters broke out of jail. Desperate to have Kimberly he kidnapped Kimberly, and her sister Kayla. Shane managed to save them both and Cal was taken into custody. Kimberly became suspicious about Jeannie and concocted a story that Jeannie had been hurt and she needed a blood transplant from her closest blood relative. Kimberly told this to Cal, and said that her blood type was different from Jeannie's so she couldn't donate the blood. Cal broke down and told Kimberly that Shane was Jeannie's father. Shane bonded with Jeannie, but it wasn't enough to reunite Shane and Kimberly. Kimberly eventually left Salem and Shane plunged himself into his work.
Shane left Salem to return to England.

MIKE HORTON AND ROBIN JACOBS
Shortly after Mike Horton arrived in Salem to complete his residency at University Hospital Robin Jacobs was appointed the new Chief of Surgery at University Hospital. They were two very strong personalities and instantly they started to clash. As with many of Salem's couples, the clashes revealed the passion that would soon be the driving force of their relationship. Robin and Mike soon fell in love. Their religious differences were the only wall between them and Robin kept her distance. She began dating Mitch Kaufman, but she and Mike kept being thrown together in dangerous physical and emotional situations.
The passion between Mike and Robin really ignited during an explosion at the Lab. Mike and Robin were trapped, alone for hours waiting to be rescued. Mike realized that if he wanted a future with Robin he would have to find a way to get past the religious differences and began learning all he could about Judaism. Mike began practicing the Jewish faith, intent on converting to win Robin's hand. To please her father, Robin married Mitch, but the love wasn't there and Robin had their marriage anulled. Both Robin and her father were happy when Mike decided to convert to Judiasm to marry her. But Robin soon realized that his faith in the Catholic Church was just as strong as hers. While Robin was alone in her office she was shot and barely made it through surgery. While she was recovering, she spotted Mike in the chapel praying for her well-being. Robin realized Mike could never be happy without his own beliefs, he would never fully accept her religion. Robin broke off their engagement and left town.
Mike moved on with his life, realizing that Robin would not be a part of his future. Robin soon began dating April Ramirez. Shortly after Mike and April became engaged Robin returned to Salem hoping to renew her relationship with Mike. When Robin found out, she told April and Mike that he was the Father of her son, Jeremy, and April left Mike. April felt that Mike should be with his son and the mother of his son. Mike realized that his love with April. Robin and Mike argued about Jeremy's religious upbringing. Soon Robin realized that she no longer had a future with Mike and took Jeremy and moved to New York.
Later, Robin moved to Israel to be near her father who was dying.
A year later Mike followed her to visit his son, and remained there for a few years before returning to Salem.

JUSTIN KIRIAKIS AND ADRIENNE JOHNSON
Justin Kiriakis met Adrienne Johnson and at once was attracted to her. She was Jo and Duke Johnson's daughter and did not have much. Justin was a playboy, but he eventually changed.
Justin led Adrienne to believe that he was a contruction worker, concealing the truth that he was Victor Kiriakis's nephew. Adrienne had been raped by her father and shot him in self defense. But soon Justin helped her trust again. Adrienne learned the truth about Justin after she confronted Victor about the Riverfront Renovations. Adrienne did not like Justin's family, but she was madly in love with him. She agreed to marry him.
In record speed for Days, this couple went to the altar the same year in which they met. They wed in a lavish ceremony in Greece. They honeymooned on a yacht.
They returned to Salem to learn that Adrienne's brother Steve Johnson was in desprite need of their help.Steve had gotten involved with a plot to kill Senator Harper Deveraux. When he shot the real Harper instead of a fake, he needed help. So Adrienne and Justin went with Steve and Kayla Brady to UCLA in search of information to clear Steve.
Adrienne became pregnant. Disturbed over Justin's ties to the mob, she considered aborting the baby. Adrienne later miscarried and Justin felt she was the blame. Thier marriage was on the rocks. , but returned to Salem to learn that Adrienne's brother Steve Johnson was in desprite need of their help.
They later had another adventure to embark upon. Joining Roman Brady and Diana Colville they headed to Peru to find Serena (Diana's mom). Roman and Diana were both arrested but Justin and Adrienne were there to help them escape. Justin learned that Victor was trying (with Serena) to steal Diana's money and severed his ties to him.
Adrienne became pregnant again but soon miscarried. After this, Justin confessed that he was involved with setting the Emergency Center on fire. Justin went back to Victor's to run the Kiriakis business but Adrienne would not go back with him.
Justin turned to Anjelica Deveraux when Adrienne would not return to him. Anjelica got pregnant but assumed the baby was Harper's. Harper knew that it could not be his - he was sterile. Anjelica told everyone then that the baby was not Harper's nor Justin's - but Neil Curtis's.
Justin and Adrienne got back together. But no matter how hard Adrienne tried to get pregnant, she could not. She turned to Emilio Rameriez, the groundskeeper, for friendship. Emilio was later accused of knifing the Kiriakis gardener for Adrienne's sake. Adrienne got him off the charges with some help from his sister, April, and Mike Horton.
Adrienne and Emilio had an affair. When Justin discovered this, he was furious. So Justin set up a trap for Emilio in the stables. It backfired, leaving Justin paralyzed. Victor decided this would be a great time for Justin and Adrienne to seperate. Victor moved Justin to a private hospital but Emilio later moved him to a farmhouse to be reunited with Adrienne.
They then returned to Victor's house (I think that's crazy too). Justin regained the ability to walk but was impotent. Victor gave him pills to keep him impotent longer. Adrienne got suspicious of the pills, and Neil discovered the effects of the pills.
Justin went on a business trip with a very pregnant Anjelica. While there, Anjelica delivered Alexander. Not knowing, Justin was there for the birth of his son.
Justin finally learned that Victor had given him the pills and moved out. Anjelica made a videotape stating that Justin was Alexander's father. She made sure Adrienne would see it. Blood tests were later done, and Justin was the father.
Justin and Adrienne amazingly stayed together even though Anjelica tried really hard to break them up. Justin decided it was time for some revenge against Victor for all he had done. He hired Yvette Dupres to seduce him. Anjelica moved in with Victor in the meantime and agreed to marry him. Justin stopped the wedding and had Anjelica move in with him in the penthouse. Once again Adrienne left Justin.
Justin and Adrienne both filed for seperation. Adrienne really still loved Justin and faked a pregnancy in attempt to win him back. Anjelica discovered the truth and showed Justin lab results that proved Adrienne was not pregnant. Justin and Adrienne agreed to divorce.
After they decided to divorce, they started dating again. Of course, Anjelica was jealous. She tried to bomb a building built by Adrienne's construction company. Justin took responsibility for the bombing not knowing that Anjelica was the guilty party. Anjelica tried to flee town with Alexander once Justin starting investigating the bombing. Their flight crashed, so everyone assumed they were dead. They were on a different flight, but Anjelica let everyone believe they died.
This turn of events allowed Justin and Adrienne to get closer. They wed again in 1990. They honeymooned in Tahati and met Carly Manning (this happened to be opposite of the Cruise of Deception).
Adrienne and Justin were then able to adopt twins. During the adoption process, Steve died. Steve's dying words to Adrienne were to take care of the boys. Justin and Adrienne were quite happy with Victor and Joey, Adrienne discovered she was pregnant. Justin also found Alexander with the help of Johnny Corelli and got full custody. They then moved to Texas where Adrienne delivered yet another boy.

ROMAN BRADY AND DIANA COLVILLE
Diana Colville and John Black (at the time thought to be Roman Brady) met when Diana saved Carrie Brady from drowning. They were attracted to each other at once. Diana was faking a relationship with Victor Kiriakis at the time to learn about a mysterious computer disk.
Diana went with Kiriakis to Greece for Justin Kiriakis and Adrienne Johnson's wedding with John following. John and Diana made love and began their romance. While there, John discovered that Serena Colville was mining the mineral that made up the disk. Serena tried to kill John, but he shot her first. Diana then told John that Serena was her mother.
John kidnapped Diana to keep her from marrying Kiriakis. Diana told John that she was only marrying Victor to help her mother. She escaped and went back to the Kiriakis mansion where she heard her mother and Victor plotting. She also learned her mother had stolen the disk. She hid what she knew and worked for John to get the information from Serena and Victor.
Diana's father was killed, leaving Diana the Colville fortune. Serena was the abducted to Peru. Diana, John, Justin, and Adrienne went to Peru to find Serena. The kidnappers demanded $10 million for Serena. Diana was arrested as she made the trade along with John. The money was taken by thugs pretending to be Peruvian Police. John told Diana that Kiriakis and Serena were behind the kidnapping to get Diana's fortune. Justin and Adrienne helped Diana and John get out of jail. Once they returned to Salem, Diana lived with John for safety.
Diana stole a Greek icon from a museum after Serena set up a plan to sell it to Kiriakis to get back Diana's fortune. John figured that Diana was involved. Diana confessed that she swindled Kiriakis, which ended John and Diana's romance (for awhile).
They became involved again when they investigated the Torres family. Diana's life was in danger so John convinced her to fake her own death. The Torreses found out the truth and targeted John. Diana lured the family into a trap. They were attacked so Diana fled to Japan. John the learned there was a contract on Diana's life so he took her to the Bahamas.
After they returned from the Bahamas, John became bothered by vague memories. The Torres family set up a car-bombing which Diana and John escaped. But John didn't recognize Diana. He did regain his memory but had personality shifts. Kimberly Donovan hypnotized him and revealed a killer personality.
Diana then ran a missing persons photo in the Spectator for Orion. The picture was Roman (before surgery). Orion was John's Kung Fu master. They tried to find Orion but they couldn't. On Steve and Kayla Johnson's honeymoon to the Orient they found a little deaf boy named Benjy. When they were unable to find his mother, they brought him back to Salem with them. He saw a postcard from Bo and Hope Brady and said he had been there before with his mother. Kayla gave the card to John hoping he would know where it was. But it caused John to go into a trance. John remembered it from a flashback. He searched the Kiriakis mansion and found a file on himself. Kimberly realized that certain signals put him in a trance and he became an assassin. John, after seeing Benjy's mom, remembered threatening her. Orion was Benjy's grandfather and left the country after Benjy. John was very upset that this link to his past was gone. All he had left to his secret life was a mysterious ring.
Shane Donovan returned to England with Kimberly after renewing their vows only to discover he had a twin brother, Drew. John found Drew very familiar, besides the fact that he was Shane's twin. John suspected Marlena might still be alive and figured Stefano was behind it all. Stefano kidnapped Carrie and held her and Orion on a boat. John and Diana headed back to the Bahamas. Drew turned out to be one of Stefano's assistants, Iago. After most of the other Bradys got to the island, Stefano put Roman in a trance and ordered him to kill everyone. Diana talked John out of the trance, but Stefano escaped before John could get him. John accepted the fact that Marlena was dead.
John proposed to Diana in early 1989. They planned to marry but the wedding was postponed three times. First, there was no death certificate for Marlena. Then, Caroline had a heart attack. After Cal Winters was admitted to University Hospital, Diana postponed the wedding again. Jack Deveraux discovered Cal was Diana's husband, a former MIA soldier. Jack made Diana sell him her half of The Spectator to keep him quiet. Diana tried to rush the wedding, but Cal stopped it. Diana the tried to prove she was never married to Cal. Cal then shot John, but Diana realized it was actually her who shot John in the crossfire. She left town consumed by guilt never to be heard from again.

ROMAN BRADY AND KATE ROBERTS
Roman and Kate were an unlikely pair. They had spent most of their time sparring. Wait... that's the recipie for a romance on Days! Kate hates Sami. She believes Sami scratched her way into two of her sons lives and destroyed them. Sami has Will, with Kate's son Lucas and was dating Austin, another of Kate's sons. Sami is also Roman's daughter and boy does this daddy love his little girl. So Kate and Roman were always facing off. Finally Roman began flriting/teasing her. Eventually they admitted their feelings for eachother and began a whirlwind love affair.
When Roman proposed to Kate she happily accepted, she truly did love him. They had wonderful wedding at Tuscany.
Sadly they wouldn't make it to their honeymoon. While in the kitchen during the reception Roman was "murdered" by the Salem Stalker.
Devastated Kate buried her husband. After Marlena's "Death" her and John became close and began a relationship. They fell in love and John proposed at the airport. kate accepted and the two headed out of the airport together. They were stopped in their tracks by Roman and Marlena. They weren't dead after all. It had been an intricate plan by Tony Dimera. The foursome tried to pick up where they left off but Marlena finding out she was pregnant with a baby conveived while she and Roman were held captive put a damper on that. Kate felt betrayed that Roman hadn't told her about his indiscretion earlier. So while it seemed that their relationship was doomed there was the odd spark keeping us believing they would work things out. Until Lucas's surprise b-day party. Out of the huge birthday cake jumps Sami. She has a special gift for Lucas. She hands Lucas tapes and asks him to play him. Once the voices are heard on the tape Roman glares at Kate. It seems that Kate set Sami up to be found in bed with Brandon by Lucas. Kate druged both Sami and Brandon to fulfill the goal of breaking Sami and Lucas up for good. Roman couldn't forgive Kate for doing this to his daughter and has filed for divorce.

MIKE HORTON AND APRIL RAMIREZ
Mike met and fell in love with April Ramirez, who was working as a nurse at Salem University Hospital. When April's mother Rosa was in a car accident she was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition. Rosa had made April promise not to let her stay alive by life support, and when she was admitted to the hospital and ended up on life support the plug was pulled on her and she died and April claimed she was the one who did it. April came before the hospital board and was removed from her position as a nurse, and it put a strain on her relationship with Mike. Mike refused to believe April was the one who turned off her mothers life support and wouldn't back off Eventually April told Mike she saw her father in the hospital stairwell moments after her mother was pronounced dead and knew he turned the life support off.
April was re-instated and because of his age and poor health Monty wasn't prosecuted.
The stress of the situation caused April to begin drinking heavily, and with Mike's help April excepted the fact that she was an alcoholic and got treatment.
In 1988 Robin returned to Salem for a few days to introduce Mike to the son he never knew he had, Jeremy. Robin hoped that Mike and her could resume their relationship, but Mike was now in love with April Ramirez.
April felt that Mike should be with Robin and his son, so she married Nick Corelli. Mike was shocked, and hurt. Eventually Nick granted April an annulment, even though he loved her he knew she was still in love with Mike. April and Mike went away on vacation, and they returned engaged.
In 1990, Mike went to Israel to help care for the sick and wounded. While in Israel Mike bonded with his son Jeremy and April eventually let him go.

NICK CORELLI AND EVE DONOVAN
Eve came to Salem in 1987 as Eve Baron, she was a prostitute of Nick's
Eve was attacked by the Riverfront Knifer, Harper Devereaux. Eve survived the attack, but as a result was left with a knife scar across her cheek.
In 1988 Nick decided to help Eve gain back her self confidence. Nick arranged for Eve to pose on the cover of a teen fashion magazine. Eve was thrilled, and she was even more thrilled when a group of boys from her school showed an interest in her. What Eve didn't know was that Harris, the boy she liked, had made a bet with his friend Jake to see how long it would take to score with a hooker. When Eve learned the truth she tried to commit suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills. Eve lived, but wanted revenge. Eve an Nick set the boys up at a party with drugs and alcohol, and then turned them into the police. Later Jake and his friends kidnaped Eve and left Nick a note to meet them out of town. Outside of town Nick and Jake played a game of chicken, and Nick's car went over a cliff and exploded.
Eve grieved over Nick but when Nick left everything in his will to her suspicion fell upon her. Eve ran away, but crashed her car. She was rescued and brought to an old deserted mansion by a man named Eddie. Eddie knew the mansion had belonged to Nick Corelli and he was searching for some old money Nick had hidden there. When Eve happened to find an old key Eddie took Eve to the bank where they attempted to open a safe deposit box. Eve managed to drop a note as to where she was being held captive. Nick, who was also living at his old mansion helped Shane rescue Eve. Eddie however escaped returned to the mansion to try and find the rest of the money. Eve had returned in hopes of finding the man who had helped her before, not knowing it was Nick. Steve, Kayla, and Nick were waiting for Eddie at the mansion, but he managed to elude them once again. Nick, Steve, and Kayla were charged with conspiring to hide Harper's money, but where later let off.
Even eventually learned the man in the mask was Nick. Nick wanted Eve to have the scar on her cheek removed, but she only agreed to have the operation if Nick had his badly burned face repaired as well. Both agreed, but in the operating room Eddie showed up and threatened to kill Eve if Nick didn't turn over Harper's money to him. Eddie however was shot and killed by Shane. Both Nick and Eve underwent surgery and their painful scars were removed.
Afterwards Nick gave Eve a job singing at Wings, the nightclub he had bought. Eve was in love with Nick, and to discourage her he married April Ramirez.
In 1990 a vicious storm hit Salem and left Faith paralyzed. Eve Donovan, who was in love with Faith's current boyfriend Scott, plotted to keep the two of them apart. Eve brought Scott's shadowy record producing scams and secrets to Faith's attention in hopes that it would cause problems. Eve's plan failed miserable. Faith walked again and when Scott was accepted to medical school, Faith and Scott left Salem.
Nick Corelli had left a fortune to Eve, but she could not claim any of the money until she married. Eve asked Frankie to marry her, but when he rejected her she turned to Jack. Jack needed the money to save the Spectator and agreed to marry Eve in 1991. Later, Eve and Jack's marriage was annulled. When Eve was wanted as a suspect in Nick's murder, she fled Salem. It was Frankie who came after her and convinced her to return to Salem because she had been exonerated of any crime.
In 1991, Brian Scofield found himself investigating Nick Corelli's murder as well. Brian & Melissa, Eve & Frankie, and Jack & Jen boarded a theme train on which Johnny Corelli had stashed the weapon that was used to kill his brother Nick. When they found the weapon, Johnny Corelli detached the car they were in and it rolled down a mountain pass and derailed into a cold forest. The couples split up and all tried to find their way out of the valley they found themselves trapped in. Eve eventually split away from Frankie and met up with a young woman named Molly Brinker. Molly drew Eve a map and Eve lead the party to a safe location and took the credit on her own. A helicopter retrieved the stranded Salemites, but Eve was seriously injured when she fell from the helicopter ladder. She lived and was treated like a star in Salem until Molly showed up and pushed Eve off of her heroine pedestal. Frankie had told Eve he loved her, but after he learned that Eve had taken the credit for saving them he once again distanced himself from her.

JOHN BLACK AND KRISTEN BLAKE
Kristen Blake came to Salem in 1993 and was mugged outside a clinic she was working at. Kristen was saved by John, but when she learned who he was she wanted nothing to do with him. Kristen found herself attracted to John Black, but her brother Peter warned her to stay away from John. At the parking-lot at Salem Place, a mysterious sniper fired shots at John Black. Kristen was there and John risked his life to get her out of harms way. Kristen began to find it hard to deny her feelings for him.
Alice Horton decided to try and pair John and Kristen by enlisting both of them in helping run the Horton Center, an operation that Alice and Tom Horton started in 1993. Alice also sent John and Kristen to the Horton cabin, separately, and there the two made love.
When John started investigating into Kristen's past he found a bloody wedding dress in the place she was staying. Kristen admitted to John that she is engaged to be married, but at the wedding she was shot by someone who wanted her husband dead. Kristen told John that she and her fiancee were laying low. Later, John learned that Kristen was Stefano DiMera's daughter. Kristen had learned that Stefano was kidnapped and she paid some ransom money to get him back. Stefano was dying from a brain tumor. Before Stefano died he told Kristen that he wanted to see her marry his son, Tony. John was sick when he learned this, but he realized that Kristen was Stefano's adopted daughter. Still, Kristen told John that she had to marry Tony because it was Stefano's last wish.
Later, Marlena gave birth to her daughter, Belle, at the cabin and John and Kristen delivered the baby. Tony returned to Salem and when he and Kristen were to b married, Kristen left him at the altar to help John recover Marlena and Roman's daughter, Belle. John and Kristen posed as man and wife and were looking to buy a child. They were both shocked that the woman selling Belle was none other than Sami. John and Kristen returned Belle to Marlena on Christmas.
Stefano realized that in order for Kristen to marry Tony, he would have to discredit John in her eyes. Stefano did some investigating and thanks to a stolen diary of Sami Brady's, Stefano learned that John was really Belle's father. Stefano took this information to Roman. Sami eventually admitted that she had switched the paternity test results. Stefano's plan worked and Kristen despised John.
Tony and Kristen were about to marry when John showed up at the wedding, claiming that he had evidence linking Stefano to Curtis Reed's murder. When Stefano hopped in a car and drive off, John shot at the tires. Stefano had planned it so his car would go off the road and he would be "killed" in the crash. Kristen, blaming John for her father's death, married Tony on February 18, 1994.
In late 1994, Kristen, Tony, Peter, Jen, Bo, and Billie all came to Maison Blanche for a charity event Kristen held. While there, Jen and Peter made love. Also, Billie saw a woman who looked like Bo's dead wife Hope, but nobody would believe her. Hope was at Maison Blanche, but she was called Gina by Stefano and Celeste. Roman also showed up, but to arrest Peter Blake for trafficking drugs in one of his clubs. A jealous Celeste leaked gas into the cell where John and Marlena were being held and started a fire. Roman managed to rescue them. John came out and shocked both Kristen and Tony, who were horrified to see John in shackles. Kristen looked up and screamed when she spotted her dead father, Stefano. Tony ran back into the house to try and retrieve his father's computer, which contained a file on John's past. Maison Blanche burst into flames. Tony got the computer, but went blind in the process.
Kristen Blake began sleeping with John. Later Kristen learned that her husband, Tony, knew that Stefano was alive all along and he had switched Kristen's birth control pills with sugar pills. Kristen left him and began living with John Black in his loft. Kristen also managed to crack the notebook computer from Maison Blanche and was horrified to learn that John was a priest. Kristen told John the truth, but he refused to believe it. John and Kristen traveled to a parish where John served and his mentor, Father Francis, recognized him as Father Black. He was also recognized by a woman from the parish. John had put his handprints in a wall near the parish and he was shocked when they matched. John was forced to accept that he was a priest. Though he wanted to be released from his vows, a friend told John to live as a priest for awhile in order to see what he was giving up. Kristen returned to Tony, who had bought a gun and was planning on killing John. When Kristen told Tony that John was a priest, Tony backed off from killing him. Later that year Tony regained his site, but he continued to lie in hopes of catching Kristen and John together.
In 1995, John, Father Francis, Kristen DiMera, and Caroline Brady all worked to help exorcise Marlena. Marlena tricked Stefano into untieing her from her bed, where John had bound her, and she promptly threw him off her penthouse terrace. Stefano lived, but he was paralyzed and suffered from amnesia. Abe Carver and Pat Hamilton wanted to arrest Marlena for her attempted murder, but when they came face to face with her supernatural powers they realized that Marlena was not responsible for her actions. In an attempt to break John's faith, his late wife Isabella appeared. However, John realized this wasn't his Isabella and she promptly transformed into a demon. Eventually Marlena died and a funeral was to be held for her. John refused to believe that Marlena was dead and he carried her dead body to the church altar where God brought her back to life and rid her of the demon.
After John was released from his vows, Kristen left Tony DiMera. Kristen learned that if she wanted to have a baby then she would need to act fast because she had a medical problem which would eventually make it impossible for her to have children. Kristen expected to be happy with John, but Tony DiMera had other ideas in mind. When they went to Aremid for Peter Blake and Jennifer Devereaux's wedding, Tony killed himself and framed John for murder. John was arrested and held in a make-shift jail at the Red Dragon Inn in Aremid. Peter Blake was put in charge of John's trial and was determined to see John die for the crime John didn't commit. Jack Devereaux and Jennifer Blake believed that Jude StClair murdered Tony, so they sought to find him. Marlena stood by John and never doubted him, but Kristen did doubt John.
John Black's Trial resumed in 1996 and Peter Blake put Kristen DiMera on the stand. Kristen admitted to the court that she believed that John killed her husband, Tony DiMera. John was sentenced to death because Stefano blackmailed the judge. The death sentence was to be carried out immediately. However, Marlena and the Woman in White managed to prove John's innocence with Tony's diary, and John was saved from the gas chamber at the last moment.
Kristen manages to convince the Woman in White, who had remembered her past but kept it to herself, to return to Salem with her and live in the DiMera Mansion. John moved in with Kristen to try and heal their broken relationship, even though he also loved Marlena. Marlena also moved into the DiMera Mansion because John insisted that she was not safe from Stefano on her own. Marlena moved into a guest room and was unaware that the love letter John wrote her from death row was among her many papers in her briefcase. Kristen went through Marlena's room and uncovers the love letter that John wrote to her. Kristen hid the letter because she feared she'd lose John if Marlena reads it. However, Marlena found the letter and almost told John the truth, but Kristen announced that she was pregnant. Marlena agreed to hold off telling John the truth because Kristen's pregnancy was a very delicate one and she had to remain stress free. Shortly after, John proposed and Marlena moved out because she can't bear to see John and Kristen together.
Marlena put John under hypnosis because he believed he knew who the Woman in White was. Under hypnosis, John told everyone that she was Rachel Blake, Kristen and Peter's mother. Rachel was being pursued by Stefano DiMera and Rachel called John, who was a young priest, over to her house to talk about Stefano. Stefano eventually planted a bomb in Rachel's husbands car, but Rachel was also in the car when the bomb went off. Rachel lived, but was badly scarred. Stefano believed that Rachel was dead and he kidnapped and brainwashed John because John knew that Stefano killed the Blakes. The Woman denies this claim at first, but later admits that it is true. Rachel was reunited with her children. However, Rachel knows the evils they have both done in the name of love and urges them to tell the truth.
John went under the drug a second time and this time Kristen asked John, while everyone else was out of the room, if he loved Kristen or Marlena more. John answered Marlena, which infuriated her. Stefano returned to town and Kristen agreed to help him kidnap Marlena. Marlena and Rachel were to fly to San Fransico so that Rachel could have her face reconstructed. Kristen gave Stefano the plane they were to take and he attempted to hi-jack the plane, but was forced to flee when the police learned that Stefano was in Salem from Hope's case.
Marlena learned that Kristen told Stefano what plane she was on and was about to tell John the truth when Kristen faked some abdominal pains. Marlena and Rachel made plans for another trip and Marlena gave Kristen a list she was to obey. Kristen was not to sleep with John and she was not to wear his engagement ring. Stefano arranged for himself to be captured, so it appeared that Marlena and Rachel were safe to fly to San Francisco. After their plane took off, John learned that the man they captured was wearing a latex mask. Upon searching the DiMera Mansion they found Rachel Blake bound and gagged. Stefano, disguised as Rachel, had snuck onboard the plane with Marlena. Stefano faked a plane crash which convinced Salem that Marlena and Stefano had both died.
Celeste gave John the location of some of Stefano's warehouses and in one he found a game entitled Queen of the Night as well as a set of strange goggles. John brought the game home, but left the goggles at the warehouse. Upon wearing the goggles, John saw Marlena being held prisoner in a cage. John was positive that Marlena was alive and he believed the game told where she was being held.
From her cage, Marlena began to write in a daily journal. Using the goggles, John was able to see Marlena writing and he told Kristen about it. Kristen used the goggles and saw that Marlena was writing about her. Desperate to hide her secrets, Kristen planned to destroy the goggles. Meanwhile, Stefano also planned to destroy the goggles so John could no longer use them to find Marlena. Stefano had a bomb planted in the warehouse that was set to go off the next time John used the goggles. Unfortunately, both John and Kristen went to the warehouse and when John used the goggles, the bomb went off. Kristen, John, and the unborn child survived, but Kristen made John promise to not use the goggles again. John hides the goggles in the basement and used them, but his main focus was on the board game entitled "Queen of the Night." Kristen recognized the game, but she claimed she didn't know where it took place. Eventually, Rachel Blake learned that the game took place in Paris and she suggested to John that he take Kristen to Paris on a vacation. John reads a newspaper about a Paris street carnival and recognized the outfits as one that Marlena was wearing when he used the goggles. Positive that Marlena was in Paris, John flew there. Kristen and Rachel followed when Stefano sent them a forged fax from John asking them to come to Paris.
John realized that Stefano is holding Marlena prisoner in the Paris underground. To lure him out, John set up a huge ball, where Marie Antoinette's crown would be displayed. John knew that Stefano would try to steal it for his "Queen" Marlena. John also knew that if Stefano follows the game, Marlena would show up wearing a gold gown. Unfortunately, Stefano anticipated this. Stefano took Marlena to the ball, but he arranged for many many women to be dressed exactly like Marlena. John, Kristen, Abe, Lexie, and John's french cop friend Renee combed the ball looking for Marlena and each had a mini TV set that was hooked up to many cameras at the ball. Marlena and Kristen came face to face and they argued. Marlena ran off and eventually found John. Unfortunately, Stefano stabbed John with a needle and drug him off while Kristen watched. Stefano also managed to steal the crown by having someone impersonate Renee.
In the Paris Underground, Stefano put John on trial for his crimes against him. John was found guilty and was sentenced to be executed by beheading. Marlena attempted to stop the execution, but failed. Luckily, Vivian and Ivan were searching for Stefano and managed to free John from the guillotine he was in. John and Marlena ran for the tunnels and Stefano pursued them. Kristen decided to find the Paris Underground to try and save John and her mother, Rachel, insisted on going. An explosion in the underground buried Kristen and Rachel, but Abe and Lexie managed to save them. They all searched for John and Lexie. When the found him, John had a gun and was holding it on Stefano. Marlena was hurt during the explosion and John gave his gun to Rachel to hold on Stefano so he could carry Marlena. Stefano managed to escape and Rachel followed him. Rachel and Stefano ended up near a gas tank. Rachel, knowing the consequences, shot at Stefano. The tank exploded and Stefano and Rachel were presumed dead.
Both Marlena and Kristen were taken to a hospital to be checked out. Kristen lost her baby and also learned her mother was dead. Kristen blamed Marlena for both their deaths and vowed not to lose John. Kristen blackmailed the doctor into keeping her secret, but he got even by telling John that he could not make love to Kristen. Kristen told Peter the truth about the baby and asks him to help her get pregnant again. Peter and Kristen installed a hypnotic device of Stefano's behind a mirror in John's room and tried to trick him into making love. However, while they were making love, John called out Marlena's name.
Kristen and John returned to Salem after the ordeal in Paris was over and Kristen continued to hide her pregnancy. Stefano, who was very alive, returned to Salem and learned about Kristen and John and promised to help Kristen keep John. Stefano told Kristen that she should try and marry John as soon as she can. He also blackmailed Kristen's doctor into keeping quiet about the fact that she wasn't pregnant.
Stefano brought Susan Banks, a pregnant woman, to Salem. With a blond wig and false teeth, Susan looks exactly like Kristen. Susan agreed to impersonate Kristen when needed and to give her baby to Kristen, in exchange for a large sum of money.
Meanwhile, Marlena began to become more and more suspicious of Kristen and even told Laura Horton that if she didn't know any better, she'd say Kristen wasn't pregnant. Kristen was dealt another blow when her brother, Peter, was murdered by Jack Devereaux.
Salem gathered for Peter's funeral. After the funeral, Laura saw Kristen adjusting her pregnancy pad when she thought nobody was looking. Laura ran back into the church to tell Marlena, but she ended up coming face to face with Stefano and Peter. Stefano revealed that the body in the casket was Daniel Scott, with a latex mask of Peter on. Stefano kidnapped Laura and took both her and Peter to the Blake house. Peter was very ill still and he forced Laura to care for him. Kristen eventually stumbled upon both Laura and Peter. Stefano wanted to take Laura with her when he and Peter left the country, but Kristen and Peter asked if there was another way to solve the problem. Stefano eventually had one of his scientists zap Laura's mind with a laser that would remove her memory for the last few days. Stefano placed Laura out in Salem park on a bench and he and Peter skipped town.
Susan Banks went into labor on February 20, 1997 and was rushed to the hospital. Kristen arrived and disguised herself as a nurse so she could watch. John surprised Kristen by having brought a priest who was going to marry them before their child was born. Marlena learned this and attempted to stop the ceremony, but she was too late. John and Kristen were married, but it was actually Susan that John married.
The baby, John Jr., was born. Susan handed the baby over to Kristen and was about to leave town when she heard the news about the baby. John Jr. had a heart defect and needed surgery. Susan returned to the hospital and told Kristen that she wanted her baby back. Kristen managed to calm Susan down and convinced her that it was in the child's best interest to be raised by herself and John because they could provide the money for the medical care the baby needed. Kristen thought she convinced Susan this was for the best, but Susan began to believe that John was her husband, not Kristen's. Susan confronted Kristen and told her that she wanted her baby back and threatened to tell John the truth, but Kristen told Susan that John would hate her and send her to jail.
Kristen was told by a doctor that she should begin to breastfeed the baby. Kristen managed to convince Susan to breast feed the baby disguised as her, but later she realized Susan was growing to close to the baby and she ordered her to use a breast pump and deliver the milk to her. Susan returned to the DiMera Mansion and refused to leave without her baby. John returned home and Kristen was forced to make up a lie to keep Susan from telling John the truth. Kristen told John that she had hired Susan as their baby's nanny. Meanwhile, Stefano arranged for a secret room to be built in the mansion where she could lock Susan inside.
Susan was crying in Salem Park when Hope found her and suggested she talk to a friend, Dr. Marlena Evans. Susan went to see Marlena and told her that an evil woman was trying to steal her husband and baby. Susan learned that Kristen wanted to lock her in the secret room. Kristen had called in Ivan and Vivian to help her, and Susan thought Ivan was a vampire. Later, Ivan and Vivian discovered that Susan was seeing Dr. Marlena Evans.
Susan told Marlena that vampires were after her. To calm her fears, Marlena gave Susan a rock and told her it would keep vampires away. Marlena came to the DiMera mansion and found the rock she had given Susan on the floor. Everything came together and Marlena realized that Kristen lost her baby and was passing Susan's off as her own. Unfortunately, Kristen tricked Marlena into going into the secret room. Once locked in, Kristen told Marlena that Stefano was going to come and pick her up.
Meanwhile, Laura Horton, who was taking pills to supress her memroy, eventually refused to continue taking pills she was taking. Laura had finally regained her memory and was determined to prove that Peter was alive by having his coffin exhumed. Upon learning what she was doing, Kristen convinced Ivan and Vivian to help her dig up the coffin and have the body cremated. Kristen covered by saying she had found papers of Peter's saying he wished to be cremated. Laura went over to confront Kristen and ended up breaking down, thanks to being over medicated by Lynn and Kristen.
Susan began to worry about Marlena and Kristen told her that Stefano had kidnapped Marlena and he'd do the same to her. Later, Susan found a small TV Monitor that was hooked into a camera in the secret room. Susan saw that Marlena was in there and she decided to release her. However, Kristen stopped Susan just in time and told Susan that if she let Marlena out, Marlena would tell John the truth and that John would hate both of them and marry Marlena. When Marlena admitted to Susan that she loved John, Susan realized she had to keep Marlena locked up. Susan secretly began to learn to impersonate Kristen so she could take her place as John's wife.
Susan tricked Kristen into entering the secret room by saying that Marlena had escaped. Once inside, Susan locked Kristen and Marlena into the room together. Susan then took over Kristen's life and managed to fool everyone. From a television monitor inside the secret room, Marlena and Kristen were forced to watch Susan seduce John.
Susan planned an Elvis themed wedding for herself and John, which Kristen and Marlena were forced to watch from the secret room. Desperate to stop the wedding, Kristen tried to dig through the wall and ended up hitting a gas line, which knocked Kristen and Marlena unconscious. Stefano showed up dressed as a waiter and was planning to escape with Marlena. Unfortunately, Laura showed up, still wearing her pajamas from the hospital, and accused Kristen, who was really Susan, of kidnapping Marlena.
Laura slapped Susan and her fake teeth landed in Vivian's glass of champagne. Susan confessed everything and John managed to save Kristen and Marlena from the secret room, both had passed out. Kristen woke up from the gas affects first and begged John to marry her immediately. John agreed, but as they were about to marry, Marlena came to and told John that Kristen lost his baby in Paris and hired Susan Banks to impersonate her and give birth to a baby, which Kristen claimed was theirs. Kristen admitted it and then grabbed a police officer's gun and threatened to kill Marlena, but John stopped her. Kristen, Ivan, and Vivian were all arrested. Kristen managed to make bail and was out in a few days.
John planned an engagement party for Marlena at the Penthouse Grill. Kristen, Vivian, and Ivan crashed the party and when Kristen heard John propose to Marlena, she lost it. Kristen went out to the ledge and threatened to jump, but John talked her down. Stefano was also at the party and planned to kidnap Marlena, but Kristen ruined his chance and he was furious with her.
John and Marlena planned to marry in July of 97, but Kristen and Stefano brought the wedding to a halt when Kristen showed up at the wedding with Marlena's dead ex-husband, Roman. Later, John and Marlena learned from Shane that Roman claimed to be dead because he really was dying of a deadly virus and didn't want his family to watch him suffer. Kristen convinced John and Marlena that Roman would be the most comfortable living in the DiMera mansion. Roman refused to stay in the hospital and accepted Kristen's offer. Kristen further caused problems by telling Roman that she and John were married and Marlena never became involved with anyone else after he left Salem.
Stefano allowed himself to be captured and then told John that only he had the cure for Roman. John didn't want to believe him, but it seemed there was no other way to save Roman. John, with Lexie and eventually Abe's help, broke Stefano out of jail. John and Stefano speed to the airfield where John's plane awaited them. Kristen managed to convince John and Stefano to let her come along. Marlena also wanted to go, but John said she should remain behind because this could be a trap. However, Hope decided to tag along to keep an eye on Kristen. Stefano was furious when John found Hope stowed away and wanted to return to Salem and leave her behind, but they couldn't because they would be captured for sure. John, Hope, Stefano, and Kristen all traveled to a jungle compound where they are introduced to Dr. Rolfe, the man working on the cure for Roman. Dr. Rolfe recognizes Hope, but Stefano manages to warn him not to say anything to Hope. Hope ends up breaking into a storage room, which infuriates him because there were things, including a table, in that room that could jog her memory from the missing four years of her life. Stefano promptly locked the room up with a high tech lock. When Dr. Rolfe finally finished the cure, the vial containing the cure was dropped and it was lost. Dr. Rolfe and Stefano tell John and Hope that the only way to make another cure is for someone to brave the jungle and the natives and retrieve a special orchid. John and Hope volunteer to find the orchid. Hope and John found the orchid and John put it in his backpack, but a native knocked John off a cliff and Hope,
Kristen, and Stefano thought he was killed. John's backpack was recovered, but the orchid was missing. Hope managed to find some of the orchid's seeds and Rolfe made a cure using them. As they were about to return to Salem, John showed up alive, but was poisoned by a native's dart. John was cured and they all flew back to Salem. On the way back, their plane crashed in the Bermuda triangle, but they managed to return to Salem with the cure. John, Hope, Stefano, and Kristen showed up at the hospital with the cure just as Marlena was about to marry Roman, because it was his dying wish, The cure was administered to Roman and Stefano was granted a pardon for his crimes. Marlena explained to John why she was going to marry Roman and he understood. Stefano's cure began to fail, which Stefano knew would happen. Stefano said that the only way to save Roman was to donate his own blood, mix it with some other drugs, and give it to Roman. Stefano had also suffered from the disease Roman had and he had been saved in a similar manor. However, Stefano only agreed to do this is Marlena would forgive him and be his friend. Marlena reluctantly agreed and gave the second cure to Roman, which worked.
Roman was released from the hospital, but Marlena and John were told that any stress could cause Roman to relapse. Therefore, John and Marlena were forced to hide their love. Eric decided to use this to his own advantage and tried to push his mom and dad back together. John soon became frustrated with the entire situation when Roman moved into the guest room in Marlena's penthouse, which forced John to move back in with Kristen to keep up the charade that they were married. Roman soon began to see that there is problems with John and Kristen's marriage. Kristen tells Roman that she and John are having problems because another woman is trying to steal him from her.
In 1997, Celeste was drawn to Jonsey's townhouse because she was sure that Peter Blake was hiding there. However, Celeste was shocked when Kristen answered the door. Celeste barged her way in and got into a fight with Celeste. Kristen was hiding the syringe behind her that contained the cure for Jungle Madness, but Stefano warned her it would give a healthy person the Jungle Madness Disease. Kristen and Celeste ended up falling onto the floor and Kristen accidentally, without Celeste's knowledge, injected her with the Virus. Stefano was furious with Kristen not only disowned her, but told her that when he got Elvis back she would not get near the child, let alone raise it.
Kristen became somewhat crazy and thought that if she could get Elvis back, John may be able to love her again. Kristen goes to Susan and tells her that the only way the baby can be protected from Stefano is if she raised him. Kristen lured Susan over to the DiMera mansion and drugged her with spiked eggnog. She then tricked Susan into signing away all legal rights over little Elvis to her. Kristen, disguised herself as Susan, and then kidnapped little Elvis. When Susan confronted Kristen, Kristen had the legal documents that proved the child was now hers. Susan almost attempted to kill herself, but John stopped her before she could jump into the icy Salem River. Susan went to get her brother, Thomas (the third triplet), to help her steal back little Elvis. However, Sister Mary Moira stopped Thomas before he could do anything sinful to Kristen. When Stefano learned what Kristen had done he was outraged and helped John steal back little Elvis and return him to Susan. Kristen took Susan to court, but Susan, John, and Marlena double crossed her. John delayed Kristen and Susan pretended to be Kristen at the courthouse and said what she did was wrong and withdrew the legal agreement Susan had signed. When Kristen learned what they had done to her she was furious. John arranged for Susan and Little Elvis to leave the country safely and live in peace. Marlena and John said goodbye to Susan and watched her leave. Stefano arrived at the airport too late and was furious for John for taking his son from him.
Kristen was at Salem Place when she received a call from Stefano telling her that John and Marlena just sent Susan and the baby off to an unknown country. Kristen is furious and decides to get revenge. She seems Roman and Roman tells Kristen that he's planning on proposing to Marlena today. Kristen, knowing that John and Marlena are aboard his jet, tells Roman that Marlena is at the airport and that he should use John's jet to propose to her in the air. Thinking it is a romantic idea, Roman decided to do that. Roman went to the airport and found John and Marlena on John's jet talking about how they hate deceiving Roman.
A New Years eve party was thrown at the Penthouse Grill Roman showed up at the party and planned on confronting John and Marlena, but he passed out. Roman was rushed to the hospital and Mike told them that Roman's blood pressure was dangerously high. Kristen went to visit Roman in the hospital and Roman told her the woman John was cheating on her with was John. Kristen pretended that it was all over, but Roman convinced her not to let John and Marlena know they were on to them and that they should fight for them. Roman, knowing Marlena had a date with John, asked Marlena out for the same night. Marlena accepted and decided to tell Roman the truth. Meanwhile, John overheard Roman and Kristen talking and realized that Roman already knew the truth. Roman and Marlena meet at Chez Vous, but before Marlena could confess, Roman told her that he knew about her and John. John suddenly showed up to tell Marlena about Roman's deception, but Marlena says she knows. John and Marlena both told Roman that Kristen was an evil and vindictive woman. Kristen lost her last friend in Salem that day.
Later. Laura confronted Kristen in Salem Place and vowed to find where Peter was. After the confrontation, Laura dropped her prescription of Placiden, which Kristen took and used to calm herself down.
In England, Susan decided to fax the wedding picture from the paper to Marlena. Unfortunately, Kristen had broken into Marlena's penthouse when the fax came through and Kristen learned that Susan was in England. Kristen planned on leaving town and moved out of the Dimera Mansion. She moved into the Blake house and planned to sell Susan into white slavery. Kristen kidnapped Sister Mary Moira and called Susan. She told Susan that she was to fly to Salem immediately and were a white dress. She was to bring the baby or her sister would be murdered. Kristen had made arrangements to sell Susan into white slavery and take off with Elvis. Susan showed up at the house and talked with Kristen. Kristen offered Susan a soda, and Susan accepted because she thought there was no way she could drug a canned soda. However, she was wrong. Kristen asked where Elvis was and Susan said she left him in England. Susan got into an argument with Kristen and threatened to kill her with a letter opener. Susan eventually passed out from the drugs and Kristen made her getaway, dressed as Susan. Susan, was kidnapped by the man and taken to a palace were she was to be the latest harem girl for "The Supreme Leader"
Kristen, disguised as Susan, was about to fly off to England when Abe and Roman found her. Susan had phoned them earlier and reported that Kristen had kidnapped her sister. Sister Mary had been rescued and they came to the airport to catch Kristen. Suddenly, Abe received a phonecall from John and Marlena. Kristen DiMera was found dead at the Blake House and they told "Susan" that she couldn't leave town just yet.
Abe and Roman took "Susan" into the station for questioning. "Susan" claimed to never have been at the house. Suddenly, Edmund burst into Abe's office. Edmund introduced himself as Susan's fiancee. Edmund asked if "Susan" was being arrested and Abe said no. Later, Edmund proposed to "Susan" and Kristen had no choice to accept. Kristen feared that Susan was the person who died in the pool and that she would be charged with her murder if anyone learned she wasn't really Susan.
The coroner told Marlena, John, Abe, Roman, and Stefano that Kristen's death was a suicide. Kristen had ingested a large amount of narcotics and alcohol before drowning in the pool. Still, Roman was convinced that it was murder.
John found a suicide message from Kristen on his answering machine and blamed himself for her death.
A funeral for Kristen was held at St. Lukes and all of Salem attended. Laura attended, wearing a bright red outfit. During the service, Laura recalled going to the Blake House the day of Jen's funeral and shooting at Kristen. Later, Stefano stood up and publicly slandered everyone in the room and blamed them all for Kristen's suicide. Stefano got so worked up that he had a heart attack, but Lexie saved him. Stefano was rushed to the hospital.
After leaving th hospitat, Stefano went to the cemetery after being released from the hospital and told Kristen's grave how sorry he was that he was angry with her and if he had a second chance he'd let her raise his son. Kristen, just happened to be at the cemetery, disguised as Susan, and she revealed herself to Stefano. Kristen begged Stefano to help her escape town, but Stefano told her if she left now it would make "Susan" look guilty. Later, Kristen learns that Susan was no longer a suspect and was free to leave. Kristen planned on skipping town when Edmund surprised her by bringing Violet and Elvis to Salem. Kristen attempted to drug Violet and sneak off with Baby Elvis. Unfortunately, John found her and brought her to the Penthouse Grill, where Edmund had arranged a surprised wedding. In order not to blow her cover, Kristen married Edmund. After the wedding, Kristen wanted to leave Salem immediately, but Elvis came down with an ear infection and couldn't fly.
Upon learning that Susan was cleared and Laura Horton was arrested for her murder, Kristen, rushed to the airport for her honeymoon and hoped to beat Edmund to the plane and leave without him. Kristen met up with Stefano at the plane and they hugged as Kristen was about to leave. Suddenly, Edmund showed up and accused Stefano of attempting to deceive "Susan" Stefano left and "Susan" and Edmund boarded the plane. On the way to Bermuda, Edmund confessed that he killed Kristen. Edmund says when he went to London he heard from his mom that Susan had left for Salem. Edmund followed her and confronted Kristen the night she was killed. Edmund admitted to pushing her into the pool and wouldn't help her until she told him where Susan was. Unfortunately, she drowned. Kristen was horrified, and was further horrified because if Edmund learned he she was Kristen, he might kill her again. Kristen told Edmund that she couldn't be married to him and once the plane landed she was leaving and he wasn't to follow. A broken hearted Edmund agreed.
Meanwhile, the real Susan was busy plotting how she could escape from the island palace she was in. Susan escaped, but was caught and was ordered to be executed. When Susan was forced to be executed, she noticed he began choking on a chicken bone. Susan saved him by performing the hymlic maneuver and then he took a liking to her and decided that she would be with him 24 hours a day. Susan managed to konk the supreme leader over the head and escape with a tiny chest full of diamonds. Susan called Edmund to warn him about Kristen and spoke to Violet and learned about the honeymoon being in Bermuda. Susan deduced that Kristen was pretending to be her and stole her baby and Edmund. Susan hired a pilot to fly her to Bermuda where she surprised both Kristen and Edmund. Susan exposed Kristen and both Kristen and Edmund were confused as to who was killed in the pool. Right then Susan realized that Penelope had been killed. Susan to Edmund and Susan about her forth sister, Penelope Kent, who came to Salem to help her. Edmund admitted to killing her, but Susan says she knows it was an accident and that Penelope was dying anyways. To get revenge on Kristen, Susan arranged for her to be sent back to the island prison where she had sent her to. Edmund and Susan were married for real on April, 21 ,1998.
Before leaving Salem, Kristen had pulled off one last scheme. Kristen had left a note for Marlena from Susan thanking her for everything she had done for her. Kristen also included a piece of chocolate candy that she knew Marlena liked. However, Kristen had filled it full of penicillin, something Marlena was deathly allergic to. However, it was Belle who actually ate the chocolate. Luckily, Roman came to the penthouse and found her next to an open bottle of Brady's penicillin pills and thought Belle had eaten them. Roman gave Belle an injection of insulin and rushed her to the hospital. Roman's quick thinking saved Belle's life. As he watched Marlena and John with Belle, Roman made one of the most important decisions of his life. For months, Marlena was struggling to choose whether she wanted to spend her life with John or Roman. Seeing that she truly loved John and that Belle needed both her parents, Roman unselfishly backed away from Marlena. Soon after they reunited, John and Marlena became engaged once again.
In England, Susan had a funny feeling and called back to Salem. She learned what had happened to Belle and was happy to hear that Belle was safe and that John and Marlena were back together. Susan sent a message to Kristen, who had been locked up in the supreme leader's dungeon, that her plan failed and that John and Marlena were engaged.

PETER BLAKE AND JENNIFER HORTON
Jen soon began dating Peter Blake, despite the objections from her family that he was a DiMera. The two soon fell in love. Peter realized that he had to rid himself of his old ways and planned to sell a club where he had been trafficking Drugs.
Later in 1994, Kristen, Tony, Peter, Jen, Bo, and Billie all came to Maison Blanche for a charity event Kristen held. While there, Jen and Peter made love. Also, Billie saw a woman who looked like Bo's dead wife Hope, but nobody would believe her. Hope was at Maison Blanche, but she was called Gina by Stefano and Celeste. Roman also showed up, but to arrest Peter Blake for trafficking drugs in one of his clubs. A jealous Celeste leaked gas into the cell where John and Marlena were being held and started a fire. Roman managed to rescue them. John came out and shocked both Kristen and Tony, who were horrified to see John in shackles. Kristen looked up and screamed when she spotted her dead father, Stefano. Tony ran back into the house to try and retrieve his father's computer, which contained a file on John's past. Maison Blanche burst into flames. Tony got the computer, but went blind in the process.
Laura Horton spotted Peter talking with a man on the docks and Peter feared that Laura would eventually learn that the man was a drug dealer. Peter enlisted the aid of Daniel Scott to gaslight Laura. Daniel dated Laura and even had her office repainted. However, the paint was toxic and it caused Laura to become drowsy. Using a speaker built into a souvenir bust in Laura's room, Peter made Laura believe that he was planning on killing Jennifer. Laura looked like she was going insane and was going to be re-committed to an asylum. Afraid, Laura ran away and hid out with Vivian's help Peter's plan failed when Jen fell asleep in her mom's office overnight and became convinced that foreign troops were invading America (or some whacked out story). Jen had actually heard a story on the radio and became confused. Laura returned to the hospital after Jen was admitted. When she was spotted, Laura fled and ended up trapped on a faulty fire escape. Jen came after her mother and ended up trapped as well. Peter eventually rescued the two and came off looking like a hero. Mike had Laura's office analyzed and they blamed Laura and Jen's hallucinations on the paint. Daniel Scott left town and Peter decided that Laura was no longer a threat.
Jack Devereaux returned to Salem in 1994 and moved back into his house, because he still owned 50% of it. Jack was hell-bent on breaking up Peter and Jen, but Jen assured him that she loved Peter and was going to marry him. Jen decided to attempt to find the man her mother fell in love with at The Meadows, not knowing it was her ex-husband Jack.
Peter took Jennifer to his home town of Aremid where he proposed to her. There they learned about the legend of the Woman in White, a ghost who haunted the town. Peter thought it was rubbish, but Jen wasn't sure. Jack showed up in hopes of thwarting Peter somehow and he befriended a young girl, Sarah, who helped her uncle run the local pub and in. Sarah knew much about the Woman in White and she also wanted to help Jack. While staying at the Blake House, Peter and Jen found a portrait a Woman in White who was actually Peter's mother, Rachel. Jen made a fire and fell asleep at the Blake house and the Woman in White closed the flew and filled the house with smoke. Jen was rescued by Peter and Jack, but Sarah said it was the woman in white. Sarah fell in love with Jack and actually dressed up as the woman in white to get close to him, but she was found out by Peter. Peter and Jen both thought Jack was using Sarah to try and break them up. Peter and Jen went back to Salem, but Sarah told Jack that there really was a Woman in White.
Jennifer returned to Salem with Peter, but they soon returned to Aremid for their wedding. As a surprise, Jennifer had her wedding dress designed after the dress the woman in the picture they had brought home was wearing. Jen was torn in her decision to marry Peter because she still had some feelings for Jack. However, Jen soon found her mother and Jack in bed together kissing. Laura and Jack admitted their affair at The Meadows to Jen, who was crushed. Peter was their to support her, even though he had planned for Jen to find out the truth. Jen, hurt by her mother and Jack, went through with her wedding to Peter.
The pavilion where Jen and Peter were to be married in caught fire and Jack was unconscious within it. Peter managed to save Jack. Jack was locked in jail accused of arson, but was later released when it was proved to be an accident. While in jail on November 21, 1995, Peter and Jennifer married.
After Peter and Jen's wedding, Tony DiMera was tragically murdered. John Black became the accused and Peter was named the prosecutor. Jack and Jen were convinced of John's innocence and when Jude StClair attacked Hope in Aremid the two thought he may have killed Tony. Jack and Jen returned to Salem and went undercover into the Blue Moon. Just as they were about to find the evidence linking Peter to Jude, a police bust occurred. The evidence was taken to the police station and when it was about to be opened, Peter managed to have it permanently sealed.
When Jude is spotted in Aremid, the search is headed up by Jen and Jack. Jen comes across Jude, who swears he did not kill Tony. Jude captures Jen and holds her hostage in a warehouse. Jack finds Jude later on, but he lets Jude go because Jude tells Jack that only he knows where Jen is and without him, Jen will starve to death. Jen eventually escapes, but before escaping she finds a matchbook that has some numbers written in it. Jen pockets it, not knowing that it is the number of a bank account that Peter has stored some money in for Jude to pick up. Later, Jen gave the matchbook with the bank account numbers to Jack and she learned why Jack let Jude go. Later, Jack learned that the numbers were for a bank account. Jack and Jen traced the bank account to the Cayman Islands and they went there and posed as tellers in training. Peter learned what they were up to and managed to erase his name from the bank account just as Jack saw it coming onto the screen. Peter also turned them in and the bank manager through them out, so they returned to Aremid.
John Black's trial resumed and Peter continued to prosecute him, but when evidence proving John's innocence showed up, John was let go and Peter apologized to John.
Peter and Jennifer flew to Paris when they learned that Kristen and Rachel were caught in an explosion.Jack came to Paris as well, hoping to help his friends and find dirt on Peter. Jack and Jen decided to try and find Stefano's lair in the underground. Jack found some books with Peter's name in them, but at the same time Peter set off charges to destroy what was left of the tunnels. Jack and Jen were caught in the explosion, but managed to escape. Jack learned that Daniel Scott is also in Paris and lures him into a high-priced poker game. When Daniel couldn't pay his debt, Jack paid it for him in order for the goods on Peter. Daniel confessed everything and Jack told Jen the truth about Peter. Jen didn't believe Jack, but Laura came forward with what she knew about Peter as well.
After returning to Salem, Peter brought Daniel Scott to Salem and had him tell Jenifer that Jack made up all the lies about Peter and he was forced to go along with Jack because he needed the money. Later, Jen sees Peter talking with Daniel in Salem Place. Jen attempts to get the truth out of Daniel, but he won't talk. Jen tells Daniel that she already knows everything and was just testing him. Daniel believes Jen and tells her everything, including how they gaslighted Laura. Jen returns home and kicks Peter out of her house. Jack planned to leave Salem, but he felt that Jen and Abbey were in danger from Peter. Jack did some investigating and learned that Peter was planning to kidnap Jen. Jack attempted to get the police department's help, but they were unable to do anything. After purchasing gun, Jack headed over to Jen's place. Upon arriving, Jack found Peter creeping up the stairs with a syringe in his hand. The two fought and Jack's gun went off. Peter was rushed to the hospital, but died later on. Jack was arrested for his murder and Jen bailed him out.
Jack went to trial for Peter's murder and thanks to Stefano's blackmailing of the judge, Jack was sentenced to life in prison. Later, Trent Davis moved next door to Jen. Unknown to Jen, Trent was Jack's ex-cellmate Travis, who was working for Stefano. Because Laura's ramblings about Peter appeared to be true, Jen feared that Peter may come after her again and she asked her neighbor Trent to install and alarm for her. Trent did so, but he also knew how to bypass the alarm and break in.
Jack's retrial began and everyone had renewed faith that Jack would be set free because Peter was alive. Kristen DiMera agreed to admit that Peter was alive, but she lied on the stand after she saw Stefano staring at her. Jack was sent back to prison because there was no way to prove that Peter was alive.
Jennifer decided to apply for a job at the prison Jack was in and used Hope Brady's credentials to get the job. Jack tried to talk Jen out of the job, but she was determined to help him write and expose on the prison system. While in prison, T.C., a crooked guard assigned to watch Jack, takes a liking to Jen. Jen broke into the warden's office to try and get a computer password for Jack and she was caught by T.C. T.C. attempted to rape Jen, but Jack saved her when he convinced another prison guard to take him to the warden's office. T.C. payed Jack back later by beating him up in his own cell, unaware that Jen was hiding under Jack's cot because she hadn't gotten out before lockdown. Later, Travis/Trent and T.C. searched Jen's house and learned that she was posing as a guard at the prison. Jen was fired and as a result, all of Jack's visitation and phone calls were limited to his lawyer, Mickey.
Stefano announced that he wanted to become a respected citizen of Salem, secretly it was all a part of his master plan. Jennifer confronted Stefano and told him that he would need the Hortons to back him if he wanted to become a respected citizen of Salem. Jennifer warned him that if any harm came to Jack then he would not have the Hortons' backing. Stefano called T.C. and told him not to harm Jack Devereaux. Unfortunately, Travis and T.C. had pinned Jack under a press, which would smash his head flat. Luckily, T.C. and Travis stopped the press in time before it killed Jack. Jack realized that someone wanted him alive and realized that T.C. must be on Peter or Stefano's payroll.
Jennifer had gotten the password for the warden's computer, but was unable to give it to him before she was fired. However, Jack's new cellmate, Herby, had a girlfriend on the outside that got the password to Jack. Upon using the password, Jack learned that his old cellmate, Travis, was really Trent Davis, Jen's next door neighbor. By the time Jack could get word to Mickey, Trent had already kidnapped Jen. Trent held Jen hostage in a seedy motel and told her that Peter was coming to get her and was going to pay him a lot of money.
Upon hearing that Jen had been kidnapped, Jack broke out of prison with the help of his cellmate, Herby. Jack learned that Trent was taking Jen to the Grand Canyon and headed there.
Trent and Jen made it to the Grand Canyon and Trent held her hostage in his families cabin. There, Jen learned that Trent brutally murdered his won parents. Meanwhile, Jack also made his way to the Grand Canyon and had to punch out a Park Ranger, who was notified that Jack may show up. Jack climbed the cliff to Trent's cabin and when Jack and Trent fought, Trent fell off the cliff to his death. Jack and Jen returned to Salem, as did Peter. Jack and Jen spent Christmas with their family, but Jack decided to sneak away and try to catch Peter. Laura provided Jack with a car and he took off, and Peter followed him. Unfortunately, Jen and Abbey stowed away in the car with Jack.
Jack, Jen, and Abbey went on the run and ended up in a seedy motel. Peter was hot on their trail and also ended up in the same hotel. Peter tipped the FBI off to Jack's whereabouts, but Jack managed to escape. However, Peter was found by the FBI. Peter attacked an agent during a Jungle Madness attack and ran off. Jack and Jen ended up joining the Ward's World Famous Circus, owned by Jasper Ward. Jack confessed his problems to Jasper, who understood and still gave Jack a job as an animal keeper. Jen got in on the act and replaced the woman who Ernesto threw daggers at. Even Abbey joined the circus as a clown.
Peter returned to the DiMera Mansion and Stefano helped him try to locate Jen and get a cure for his jungle madness. Stefano came up with the idea of planting a listening device on Laura, who they suspected knew where Jack and Jen were. Laura Horton, Maggie Horton, and Celeste Perrault all went to the Salem Spa for some relaxation. Peter disguised himself as a masseuse and planed to plant the device on Laura, but almost killed her during another Jungle Madness attack. Later, Laura set a trap for Peter by inadvertently hinting that Jack and Jen were in Dayton, Ohio. Kristen overheard Laura, who told Peter. Peter raced to Dayton, Ohio, as did the police who Laura tipped off. Unfortunately, the circus Jack and Jen were hiding in was in Dayton, Ohio. Jasper covered for Jack and Jen and Peter returned home when Stefano warned him the entire thing was a trap set by Laura.
The circus Jack and Jen were hiding out in was on the verge of going broke. Jack convinces Jaspar Ward to take the circus to Salem, Jack had a plan to trap Jennifer. Upon arriving in Salem, Jack sent Hope some tickets and asked her to come to the circus. However, Peter followed Hope and attacked her, but she was saved by Bo. Peter tipped the FBI off to where Jack was hiding and he was arrested. Peter kidnapped Jen, but also attacked her and knocked her unconscious. When Jen came too she fled. Jen hoped in Jasper's car and took off and Peter followed her. Jen's car eventually went off the road and exploded. Peter stopped at a phone booth and found Jasper Ward calling the police to report news about Jennifer, but Peter attacked him and put him in a coma.
Jack was placed back in prison and Laura came to see him. Earlier, Laura confronted Kristen and vowed to find Peter and make them both pay. After leaving, Laura realized she had lost her prescription of Placiden, unaware that Kristen had found it. Laura told Jack that she had bought a gun and was going to take care of the DiMera. Later, Abe came to see Jack to tell him that a woman's body was found in the car Jen was driving. Jack refused to believe it was Jen, until they showed him a necklace Peter had bought for her that was found in the wreckage. The necklace had an inscription from Peter to Jen. Jack and the rest of Salem were forced to admit that Jen was dead.
Jack was let out of jail to attend Jen's funeral. Laura slipped out of the church to find Kristen and make her pay. Peter showed up with a shotgun and started shooting. Suddenly, Jen's spirit rose from her coffin. Jen convinced Peter to turn himself in. Jack was released from prison immediately. Jack and Abbey returned home to find Jen standing in their home. Jen explained that her death and her resurrection were faked by the people at the circus. Jen told him that Jasper was supposed to tell them all, but Jen wasn't aware that Jasper was in a coma. Jack, Jen, and Abbey all went to the Brady Pub and they celebrated the fact that Jen was alive. Later, Jasper came out of his coma.
Peter was taken to jail and Stefano gave him the cure for his jungle madness. Peter asked Stefano if he was going to break him out, but Stefano told him that he couldn't do that because it would ruin his new reputation as an upstanding citizen of Salem. However, Stefano did manage to get Peter placed in a white-collar- crime prison instead and he would be up for parole in a few years.
Jack, Jen, and Abbey all left Salem in June of 1998 for a vacation in Africa.
