There will be other girls,
Besides those I've met.
They may be good friends,
I can't know just yet.

But you are not girls,
You're women of will.
Epitomes of beauty,
Like birds on a sill.

Had we not met,
My life may have been sad.
But your smiles and kind words,
Have made my heart glad.

I've done things I shouldn't,
Things I'll regret.
But you both have shown me,
A way to forget.

My past soars behind me,
A phantom of night.
But now I look forward,
To wards the bright light.

I send with these words,
A small piece of my heart.
Please take it with you,
As from this crossroads we part.

Farewell for now,
Farewell, my dear friends.
I'll remember you always,
Till time itself ends.

Go now to the world,
And when your heart is laid low.
Read you this poem,
And let my love flow.
