Objectives
- Students will:
1.
briefly describe the history of Hawaii.
2.
describe some activities one could do in Hawaii.
3.
explain why much of the big island is covered in lava.
4.
explain what many people in Hawaii do to make a living.
5.
explain where Hawaii is located, how many islands it contains, and what
it is like.
Materials:
1. Print the student data sheet for each student.
Procedure:
1.
Have students use the web site In Search of Hawaii to gather information.
2.
Have students use their information to create a poster, or Power Point
presentation.
Teach students to copy pictures for their poster or Power Point presentation.
Have students insert the down-loaded picture for a poster or in Power Point
(The pictures were all taken by this author and my be used for any educational
purpose.)
Evaluation: Students will be evaluated on:
1.
the quality of their information.
2.
the effort put into their final product.
3.
the presentation of their final product
