Shrink: Improved accelleration and manouverability. 6
Mega Crunch Kitty = Me Is Scurrying Little Evasion
Embiggen: Pass over other cars and flatten them. 6
Fierce Dragon Eating Horse = Overlord Power Battery Consumer
Bounce: Speed boost, loss of manouverability, flatten opponents. 8
Most Happy Emperor Spring = Catching Very Boasting Swine
Turbo: Massive straight line speed burst. 8
Speed Master Very Helmet = Many Great Turbo Spear
Hover: Big speed boost, fly over cars and glue. 10
Up Again Mrs. Blueprint = Super Wheel Roof Stomping
Kamakazi: speed boost, instant destruction of opponents on contact, short timer before self-detonation. 9
Furious Much Death Victor = Rapid Demon, Victor-Chasing
Glue: Leaves a puddle which slows following cars considerably. 7
Much Madness Happy Grabber = Green Glue Hill-Stop Monkey
Oil: Leaves a slick that makes following cars spin out of control. 9
Lively Snake Biting Beverage = Crouching Oil, Deadly Bridge
Exhaust Fumes: Obscure following cars in a cloud of smoke. 3
Clouded Danger Psycho Glove = Scary Noise Blinded
Missiles: 5 terrain-hugging rockets that fire forward and blacken/spin opponent. 9
Ravenous Trouser Striped Warrior = Total Fever Strobe Bezerk
Pulse: A sonic boom that shunts nearby opponents away. 7
Amorous Super Bump Captain = Hungry Wall-Eating Dog

Tricks - in no particular order
Hill glue: the best place to use glue for a certain kill is on a hill climb. The following car just won't be able to accellerate out. Counter with: turbo, hover.
Bridge Oil: Using oil on a bridge is one of the most sure killers of everyone following.
Brett-Stop: Brake heavily on a steep hill with someone close behind you. They will be stopped dead in a collision, and you will be shunted on to safety.
Under-over: As someone is about to ram you, activate embiggen, bounce or hover. You will speed away and they will plunge to their doom.
Turbo-Spear: A real classic. When someone is on the outside of a corner, use a turbo to spear yourself at them, barging them off the edge.
Narrow-Throb: Use the Pulse the instant you start in the middle of the grid, on a narrow section of track.
Codes
Track select: Pause the game in single player mode. Then,
enter the "Sound" option, highlight the "FX Volume" selection, and
press L1 + L2.
Faster engine: Select multi-player mode. Then at the track
selection screen, press X + Sq + Tri + Circ. If you entered the
code correctly, an engine will be displayed at the bottom of the
screen.
Jumping cars: Select multi-player mode and select a track
and car. Then when the countdown that marks the start of the race
begins, press Circ + Left.
Night racing: At the track selection screen, hold L1 + L2
+ R1 + R2 until headlights appear in front of the car. If you entered
the code correctly, a new symbol will appear on the track.
Upside down tracks: At the track selection screen, press
L1 + R1 + X + Down. If you entered the code correctly, an arrow
will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Reversed tracks: Choose a track and press Select. Then,
quickly hold X + Square as the cars enter the tunnel. While continuing
to hold those buttons, press Left or Right. If you entered the code
correctly, the cars will turn around and enter the tunnel in reverse.
Alternatively, press L2 + R2 + X + Down at the track selection screen.
If you entered the code correctly, an arrow will appear.
