- Audible.com is a place where you can purchase a wide
range of business, professional and traditional texts in
real audio format, along with walkman-lime machines that
allow you to play them when you're away from your
computer.
- Bookshelf again, courtesy of Cathy's News Stand. All
kinds of book resources.
- Braille Music List includes the opportunity to
subscribe to a mailing list and other braille music
resources.
- Braille Planet Inc Aside from being the home page for the
MegaDots braille translator, this site offers a lot of
braille-related links.
- CSUN 1999 Papers represent the leading edge of
developments in access to information, integration of
technology into education environments, etc.
- DOIT Project (Disabled Opportunities In
Internetworking And Technology) is one of the most
innovative projects for integration of technology in
education and employment of disabled people.
- EASI
(Equal Access to Software And Information) offers on-line
workshops in web design, adapting computer labs for the
disabled, etc.
- National
Braille Press
produces both general and computer-related publications
in braille and electronic formats,
- Read To Me has links to over 400 on-line texts, as
well as software allowing web pages and electronic texts
to be verbalized. Also offers resources for the Hawaiian
language.
- SNOW (Special Needs Opportunity
Windows) provides
free on-line educational opportunities in special
education. Partners include Ontario Ministry of
Education, Adaptive Technology Center at University of
Toronto, etc.
