Greetings Team
When I looked up the event list for the
Quebec provincials, I noticed something was missing: there were no
100,000m event. So I thought to myself, why not tailor my own?
Kidding aside, it’s with great pride
that I announce my participation to the second ForestersTM
Big Swim for Arthritis scheduled for April 2007 when I will attempt
to swim 100 km indoors over a 10-day period.
Most of you are aware of my passion
for ultra-long distance swimming, and as athletes, you are well
aware that proper preparation is the key any undertaking. It’s with
this frame of mind that I wish to encourage all swimmers to continue
working hard in pursuing their goals as well.
For those going to Québec City, I
also encourage you to take the time to enjoy the experience fully.
Although our team’s name is Technosport, it could easily be mistaken
for FUNosport, or TechnoFUN at times.
To keep this message short, my Web
site (link below) will act as a clearinghouse for up-to-date
information about the challenge and also provides a link to my
on-line fundraising page. Donations and pledges in support of The
Arthritis Society are welcome. When you donate on-line, you are
issued a tax receipt immediately.
Welcome to my 100 km in 10 days swim
challenge.

In closing, I offer my sincere thanks
to all supporters, organizers and volunteers who contribute time,
money or encouragement towards this cause empowering many Canadians
to cope with arthritis and lead the fullest life possible.
Good luck to all swimmers going to
Québec City and see you at the Ottawa pools.
