SPECIALTY

Many of these "specialty items" are no longer available. But, for posterity's sake, these are some specialty items that have been available in recent years...

Hard Candy/Motorola faceplate & matching nail polish ($39.95)

05/16/01 - In May 2001, Hard Candy launched a new contest in conjunction with Motorola to win a phone with special Hard Candy faceplate, matching nail polish, and vacation package. The faceplate/nail polish combo was also available for purchase at Motorola's site. A cute site was set up to coincide with the contest. Check it out here: Hard Candy/Motorola games. Serendipity Nail Polish ($12)

Mauve colored Serendipity Nail Polish by Hard Candy in conjunction with Miramax Film Serendepity.

Hard Candy From The Marriage of Makeup and Movies by Jenny  Bailly: "Miramax decided to get in on the action, too, and approached Hard Candy about creating an exclusive product for their film, "Serendipity." The LVMH-owned beauty company suggested a nail polish, their signature product. The result is a never-before-seen shimmery purple polish whose launch will coincide with the film's October release. The limited edition color, called "Serendipity" of course, will only be available in Bloomingdale's until spring."

Lip Gloss Cube Set ($24)

Kit includes four glistening shades Haze (metallic purple), Blur (metallic silvery-white), Icky (metallic white-peach), and Angel (metallic beige-gold) - that taste and smell like cake batter. This is a great deal considering that one cube costs $12 bucks. You get 4 for the price of 2. Was available at Sephora.com as of 04/14/2001.

Hard Candy Dog Tag Kit ($30)

Includes: Pink Eye Glitter Eye (pink w/silver sparkles), Hick Nail Polish (blue w/silver glitter), Silver Makeup Bag, Logo Dog Tag Necklace...

Review: Very cute. On the young side, but a collector's must-have. I actually wear the necklace a lot. I removed the super young looking dog pendant and left the logo rectangle... Looks cool.

Twinkle Twinkle Kit ($30)

Includes: Pussy Cat nail polish, Cosmic Dip Lipstick, and a star shaped glittery candle.

Review: Another collector's must-have. Good if you don't already have the nail polish (I already have two bottles of Pussy Cat so I would really only be buying the lipstick and candle.)

Sissy Bug Set ($30)

This set was a specialty item and was available a while back at Nordstrom. The set was one of a few sets that combined a bug bobby pin or hair clip from Tarina Tarantino w/Hard Candy products. The Sissy Bug Set included a cute makeup bag, bobby pin, lipstick, lip cube, and Sissy nail polish. I really wanted to order it back when it was available, but somehow never got around to it. It was an adorable set. Quite inexpensive too considering everything that is included.

Status: The kit is not available anymore. You can probably still buy most of the Hard Candy products separately. For Tarina Tarantino hair accessories, check out www.tarinatarantino.com.

Nail Polish Teasers ($30)

Includes: Mini versions of HC's most popular nail shades.
Review: A good way to try a bunch of colors without spending $12 for each. These were available during 2001/2 at Sephora.

Delight Teasers: Hick, Jailbait, Chump, Spaceboy, Exxtasy, Sissy, and Blast
Fancy Teasers: Trailer Trash, Fiend, Moody, Ghetto Girl, Platinum, Love, Galaxy
