You've found
the
ROCK
FOLLIES SUB-PAGE!!!
O.K., here's the deal. While gathering information on Charlotte
Cornwell, every search engine would list my site for "Rock Follies".
Unfortunately, I didn't really have any information about this show
on my site... so multiple e-mails from disappointed visitors later,
I'm finally caving and giving the public what they demand...
Apparently The Rock Follies had quite a cultural impact providing
inspiration for artists as diverse as KATE BUSH and THE BUZZCOCKS.
The latter derived their band name from a character's catch phrase
"Give me a buzz, cock!" (But this could just be an intellectual
rationalization for naming their band after the British slang for
vibrators)
A few years after The Rock Follies ended, the Americans attempted
to recreate the success with "Three Girls Three". It was described as
a variety show about the lives of three cabaret-style singers.
Needless to say it was a flop.

By far the best site I've ever seen about THE ROCK FOLLIES and THE
ROCK FOLLIES '77 is The
Rock Follies Web Site. The only site on this subject, in my
opinion, that is worth a visit.
One last thing. While researching THE ROCK FOLLIES, I discovered a
quote from the series that fits into my pet theory about the
Internet: "sooner or later they all come to the pornographers!" Think
about it... despite BILL CLINTON'S anti-net porn bill, everything on
the www eventually leads to PORNOGRAPHY. Well, that's my theory
anyway. Why not test it out starting with this page and let me know
how it turns out... Or, to find porn a lot quicker simply type "Holly
Aird" into any search engine...
