Michael
Ricards as Cosmo Kramer
He was born on
July 21, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. At
first, he wanted to become a dramatic actor, but
ended up as a comic actor in the theater program
at Valley College. Then, he attended the
California Institute of Arts, where he met his
wife, Cathleen. Finally, he earned his bachelor
degree at Evergreen State College in Washington
State.
After that, he
went to Los Angeles and began working as a
stand-up comedian, until he was called for a role
in the series "Fridays". There, he
became friend of another member of the cast,
Larry David. In 1982, he appeared in the film
"Young Doctors in Love", followed by
many others. But in 1989, he was invited to join
the sitcom "Seinfeld", as Jerry's
eccentric neighbor, Kramer, which in fact is a
character based on a real-life friend of Larry
David.

Some of
his lines Jerry:
Elaine!
Elaine: Jerry! Jerry, oh, hi,
welcome back! How were the shows?
Jerry: Great, I had fun. Where's
the TV? Where's the VCR?
Elaine: They were stolen.
Jerry: Stolen? When?
Elaine: A couple of hours ago.
The police are coming rightover.
Jerry: Stolen?
Elaine: Someone left the door
open.
Jerry: [to Kramer] You left the
door open?
Kramer: Uh, Jer, well, you know,
I was cooking and I-I, uh, I came in to get this
spatula... and I left the door open, because I
was gonna bring the spatula right back!
Jerry: Wait, you left the lock
open or the door open?
Kramer: The door.
Jerry: The door? You left the
door open?
Kramer: Yeah, well, I was gonna
bring the spatula right back!
Jerry: Yeah, and?
Kramer: Well, I got caught up...
watching a soap opera... The Bold and the
Beautiful.
Jerry: So the door was wide
open?
Kramer: Wide open!
Jerry: And where were you?
Elaine: I was at
Bloomingdale's... waiting for the shower to heat
up.
Kramer: Look, Jerry, I'm sorry,
I'm, uh, you have insurance, right buddy?
Jerry: No.
Kramer: How can you not have
insurance?
Jerry: Because... I spent my
money on the Clapgo D29. It's the most
impenetrable lock on the market today... It has
only one design flaw: the door... must be CLOSED!
Kramer: Jerry! I'm gonna find
your stuff. I'm gonna solve it. I'm on the case,
buddy, I'm on the case!
Jerry: Yeah, don't investigate.
Don't pay me back, it was an accident.
Kramer: I made a mistake!
Elaine: These things happen...
Kramer: I'm human...
Jerry: In your way.
In "The
Robbery"
Kramer:
The library investigator's name is actually
Bookman?
Librarian: It's true.
Kramer: That's amazing. That's
like an ice cream man named Cone.
